Charley's Steakhouse has a wonderful staff with ready smiles and efficient service. The waitresses are super sweet and lovely, checking in often. The food received mixed reviews. The Tuesday night Burger & Fries special was cooked to perfection with crispy & hot fries. The prime rib was not rare, still delicious though. A porter house steak was rare on one side and medium well on the other. The “cowboy beans” were just ranch style beans out of a can, the scalloped potatoes were pretty good, and the bread were just heated hoagie rolls. A t-bone and a half a chicken and the fish fry were amazing. The western feel and atmosphere were liked. The owner, who is 82 and has owned it for 52 years, works there everyday. It felt like a 70’s steakhouse from Illinois. Highly recommended for the staff and food, though some dishes were not worth $60.
