in my opinion they should not let people call in one day in advance on a Friday night to get there smoke prime rib and their barbecue ribs in my opinion it is not fair to everyone else we will not be going back we went to dinner there and was very disappointed they were out of everything even the dessert

This place is an absolute gem. Jo is the biggest sweetheart ever and the staff overall are the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of speaking with. And the food? The food was amazing. The ribs were tender and moist, perfectly seasoned, the corn bread was awesome, and the mixed berry cobbler was the best part of the whole meal. You HAVE to come here

Stopped by there Saturday afternoon just before closing. We were at an event and the wait was long for BBQ so drove to Wickenburg to find BBQ at the Ornery Hog. Met by a very warm genuine smile I ordered the Dan's High Desert Combo. I changed from 3 sides to get the Cornbread (note, they gave me samples of the two sides). All I can say is WOW!!!! What a great find. Super cquaint atmosphere. I will drive the 48.6 miles for all future BBQ cravings.

The food was tasty, yes, but it's the service and the atmosphere that brings us back. Dan and Jo are both so nice and welcoming. If you visit, get Dan to pull out his guitar. He has a lovely voice. It just made our day!
My husband wanted BBQ and we decided to try this restaurant while in town. Iknow some might feel it is high priced but let me tell you their BBQ was excellent! I had the brisket samdwich and my husband had the High Desert Combo borh were very very good. Service was awesome. ?
