I ordered Chicken with Vegetables . The Vegetables were totaly overcooked , the Chicken was OK . The next Day i came in for Breakfast , that was OK .
Got o bowl of the loaded baked potato soup to go. Warmed it up later. Consistency of water very small red potato pieces. Got small container of bacon and another of shredded cheddar. Except for crackers. That it. Would not call that loaded. Soup was bland and very salty. Potato soup is easy to make How can you mess it up. Was NOTgood. Ended up in the trash.
I was working in Yuma and found few good places to have a meal. I was thinking Denny's is an oldy but goody but nope. First the prices are strangely high. A cup of black coffee is more expensive than Starbucks. The charged me $2.98 for a cup of coffee and waiter never refilled it, I think the menu has a lower price. The coffee was average which is to be expected. Should have ordered two pancakes for ten bucks but wanted something healthy and ordered a salad. When the waiter put down the plate of slimy and black edged lettuce I was surprised they could serve salad which was old, treated with some weird preservative but I wanted greens so I pushed the ugly parts to one side and ate some of the pieces which appeared okay. I regret doing this as I was violently ill that afternoon and had not eaten anywhere else in the past 20 hours. The restaurant had few clients at the time. He brought my bill then left me there for a while with my mask on, I hadn't realized you have to get up to pay the cashier, my error. When I went to pay the front lady says, "We can keep the change for some xyz charity." I didn't hear what the charity was and without me saying, fine she hands me five dollars back from my twenty. Expensive meal. I will give them one good point - the same woman took my temperature when I walked in with my mask on face." Ninety seven point one," she announced. Something wrong with the Twilight Zone feel of my visit and the aftermath. Expensive and terrifying. John Miller I challenge you to go eat at both Denny's in Yuma
