This is as advertised, old fashined family restaurant. Solid, good, large portions, basic, no frills, fill you up. Not for foodies, but still good. We had breakfast, extensive menu, not the cheapest, $20 for Benny. But we like to support local, so all good. Lovely staff, excellent service! No lineup, plenty of parking. Located central Saanich, opposite Butterfly garden, on the way to the Butchart garden. This restaurant is clearly much loved, since it has been around for 41 years.
Good service and nice waiters but the prices are ridiculous for what you get. I got the one egg traditional breakfast that comes with two sides, plus I ordered a coffee and a side of a toast (which normally you’d think would be a free side with these type of egg breakfasts). It was an extra $3.89!!! My total came to $22.23, you’d be better off going to a Denny’s where you’d get what I got for $14
Average quantity over quality neighborhood diner. Huge portions, which is nice, but the bacon was practically raw and the mac and cheese was disgusting. We also had to wait 45 minutes for our food. The coffee was great though.edit: Also, literally no one I could see while waiting for the bathroom was wearing gloves in the kitchen.
