The food was amazing! the service was top notch; very friendly staff and observant. Our plates were taken away when empty and our glasses were always being refilled with water or the wine we selected. The food was delicious and very different. I had ordered the halibut as a main course and the kale and squash warm salad for my appetizer. Loved our pumpkin cheesecake (in the shape of a pumpkin) for dessert. We dined with friends and enjoyed the evening. We were not rushed and felt very welcomed there. I would definitely go again.

We went for the Thanksgiving special dinner. At $65 per person for turkey it was not impressive. The "dressing" served with the Turkey was just unadorned pieces of bread. The $40 wine pairing was ridiculous: 2 x 3 oz. pours of wine and one 1 oz. pour of Port. Sorry: not a good value.

Good service. The main course was not very hot. It seemed to have been sitting awhile. Dessert was great!

Went for Thanksgiving Dinner. When we booked we were told we could order off the Thanksgiving menu or the regular menu which I thought was great as my Mother can only eat certain things so regular menu was good for her and my husband and I were looking forward to the Thanksgiving meal menu. When we got there we were told one or the other for everyone in the party - ridiculous!! So that didn't work out well. We did go ahead with Thanksgiving dinner. The appetizer was horrible. Basically barely cooked, dry brussel sprouts. The turkey was dry. The desert was good and creative so only 1 out of 3 for a high end restaurant. Will not go back. Server was nice and did the best he could.

Food was presented strangely: chunks of anchovy on and around the Caesar salad. Not to my taste. Small meat and crackers tray included tasteless gluten free crackers only and was supposed to include pickles — absent. Cocktails were well done and wine was good. Others with me enjoyed their choices, not me. With tip, $301. Overpriced.

This is a truly special place at Brentwood. For 'foodies' it is a fabulous menu. Had singing scallops and bison cassoulet, plus the very delectable bread. Great service and picturesque views across the bay. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Love the new adult only policy.
We so need more places like that.
I will definitely become a frequent customer!

Best seafood omelet I have ever tasted. We dine there frequently for breakfast and lunches. I have never had the omelet before and was blown away. Perfectly cooked egg filled with shrimp, crab and spinach and covered with a Bearnaise sauce. I made sure the server let the chef know how impressed I was. Will definitely order again, and again.....

The food is well presented but tasteless, not worth the price. Service is ok, but could be more professional The only good thing about the restaurant is the nice view overlooking the marina on the patio.

Lovely spot, inventive food, delicious and could accommodate someone with celiac disease. Service was excellent. We did not take advantage of a very nice wine list.

Service was slow and long wait for orders. Waiter seemed too busy and preoccupied.arrived 6:30. Meal delivered 8:10

I was in a party of six, two members of which required hearing aides. As this was a yearly get-together, it was important that we could hear each other around the table. The setting of the Arbutus Room was ideal for our gathering, and it was a most enjoyable event. The food section and preparation, the service, and the wine selection were all top-notch.

Thai was an upsetting and under-whelming dining experience from start to finish. We were only 1 of 4 couples in the dining room and our meal took 2.5 hours total. The zucchini wrapped halibut was absolutely horrible, no seasoning and very very dry, the lingcod was flavourless and the sides were drab and no flavour. The bread and butter starter was 4 small toasted pieces with butter with little to no flavour and the pink scallops were the opposite l, they were swimming with salt. The new menu launched on June 21 is not at all what you would expect from the island. It is fall/winter menu, it focuses on game meat; boar, bison, elk, rabbit etc... These are proteins that are meant to be eaten in cooler weather, not 30 degree summertime. Really let down with the menu. The only bright side; their pub menu looks fabulous, we should have eaten there. We won't be back even though we are staying in the hotel for a few days. Thank goodness we found the seahorse cafe.

Absolutely stunning space complemented by outstanding service from our waiter Thomas, who expertly walked us through the menu that highlights all local ingredients sourced within 100km's of the restaurant. The food was amazing, delicious, creative and beautifully presented. A must visit! Can't wait to dine here again.

Had a great dinner with excellent service and excellent food (the ambiance and views are also obvious draws). I decided to NOT try my “usual suspects” of food and tried the Tomato Tarte Tatin appy (omg delicious), the bison entree (wow) and the Chicory Latte dessert (suggested by the server - and a complete wow). Easy 5 star review.
