Lovely experience. Service great and food very good also. One small thing, once my dining partner took all the clams out of her dish there was very little in it! A bit of bread would at least allowed her to soak it up. Otherwise great dining experience.
Our server forgot to bring my husband a beer during our DELICIOUS appetizer. He picked up dishes from other tables who were seated after we were done eating so we put them on the other side of the table but he never came to our table! We flagged down another server to ask our server to bring the check. He never asked us til that time is we wanted a dessert menu—no, we actually had to ASK for it, then decided to get something back at our hotel in Victoria. Our food was FABULOUS, the setting was GORGEOUS (we were on the outside deck) but the service was not up to par, unfortunately!
The food was incredible. The service wasn't anything special and it did feel as if they had somewhere better to be. Glassware residue was off-putting. The overall ambiance and room was gorgeous, and they sat us at a gorgeous table with an ocean view. Overall, a lovely atmosphere with incredible food; we just wished it felt more special to the restaurant as this wasn't just any old dinner to us.
Incredible food (the salmon was divine) and beautiful view. Happened to be live music that night with a particularly loud trumpet but when we asked the waiter they kindly turned down the amp just a smidgeon so we could hear each other. Really fantastic overall experience!
The ambiance and service were great. The setting is magnificent and that's why we came back. The food was good, one of us had rack of lamb which was hearty, tasty and good quality. The other had halibut, fresh and tasty but accompaniments were a bit on the light side and vegetable serving was small. So food 8/10, service 10/10, ambiance 9/10 and overall 8/10
Met with friends during a stay. Although the meal took 3 hours, it was a perfect time to visit. One of our party ordered lamb which the chef said might take longer- it was worth the wait! All food was delicious- great night.
I am a celiac with a dairy sensitivity. There are lots of options for me and staff were very attentive to my food allergies. It was a nice ambiance for my husband's birthday dinner. Food was amazing!
The food and service were very good. Our only concern is that as soon as we arrived for our reservation, we were advised that the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes, so we needed to order quickly.
This was one of the best dining experiences my husband and I have had! The food was exquisite - I had the scallops, which were prepared to perfection, and the dish was so flavorful, absolutely delicious. My husband had the tenderloin, grilled exactly as he requested, and beautifully seasoned. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was exceptional- our server was extremely attentive and efficient, the food piping hot when she brought it to the table. She and the other staff made us feel very well cared for. We will definitely be returning.
Beautiful setting - our table was a little "meh" but there are spectacular window seats available. The food was super tasty, creative and beautifully plated. The service was friendly but average. Desert was so, so. The ambiance and price point is absolutely worth it.

One of the most beautiful settings for a restaurant we have ever seen! Food was outstanding—crab capeletti with Manila clams in a beurre blanc sauce was extraordinary. Service impeccable. Stay at the in if you can —gorgeous rooms, excellent spa!
The service was warm and friendly. Things move a little slower here, which is great. Food was delicious. The rib eye was awesome, the veg pasta was ok. Lots of menu options and based off overhearing the table next to us, sounds like the kitchen is incredibly accommodating of meal preferences. They had lovely live music playing inside and we sat out on the patio watching the sunset and could still lightly hear it. Great atmosphere. The thing to know about this restaurant is that it's open air with no perceptible AC and no ceiling fans to move the air around. It is quite stifling and a little uncomfortable. It's too bad the designer didn't build in better airflow measures during construction because it's sorely needed as our summers continue to heat up.
This is the third time this year we have eaten here and have been pleased with the overall experience every time. The food is flavourful and the servers are pleasant and efficient.
Really great food, attentive (but not overly) wait staff, and great views out to the marina and water/mountain views. Steaks done to perfection and definitely a place we're looking to revisit in future.
We honeymooned at the resort when it opened over 20 years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. Trips back to the hotel, restaurant and pub. Seeing the restaurant was newly renovated we thought we'd give it a try and were delighted. Tasteful renos complement the great food and service.
