Halo

Went in person to the store, its a little cramped, but theres outside seating too and good amount of fresh air. The staff are kind and friendly. The donair is made to perfection, and honestly quite fast. Its really juicy, you get meat and veggies and sauce with every bite, not dry, but really flavorful. I'd recommend getting something lamb flavor, it has a real punch to it ! Don't miss out on the lamb platter. The prices are a little higher though.

This is a review for food only. Ordered chicken shawarma plate on the phone, came in & paid higher than average for the plate. When I opened my plate I saw it was a lamb plate which honestly was okay anyone could’ve made a mistake like that. Unfortunately my first bite was the first and last. The food tasted expired. The lettuce looked mouldy. I ended up getting a headache afterwards from eating it. Hope this helps anyone looking to order here in the future, unless their willing to cook fresh food and it not taste the way I experienced I wouldn’t reccomended ordering here

I ordered a mixed wrap last Friday, I called in, was a lady who answered, said she would make it in 2-3 minutes, I was driving and was only 2-3 ,minutes away myself so gladly accepted, first of all there are always parking issues, but I still made an effort because it's Abdul's - one of the famous and most loved donair places. Dashed in, paid, got my food, drove away and pulled over in a car park to eat as I had to rush back to work. To my dismay the wrap was icy cold, except for the meat that was slightly warm, the whole wrap was not compressed nor toasted nor nothing!!! No salt, tasteless and to my dismay as soon I unwrapped the top half of the wrap the whole wrap split in half!!! I took a bite and realized the hot sauce was smudged just in the center only. Yikes!! I wouldn't even wrap a dog's food this way forget about giving it to a human! I used to go to Abdul's every time since he opened years ago, but I noticed since he is not in the store himself, it has not been the same. I sure did waste my time, my efforts and of course my money plus a good tip!!. The birds and crows ended up eating my food. I won't be recommending Abdul's no more to no one, all I can say is eat at your own risk!

The best lamb wrap in the Greater Vancouver area hands down! I had lamb wrap without salad but with tabouli, hummus and xtra garlic sauce! The most savoury wrap I had since being in Canada!

Without a doubt, the best middle-eastern food I've ever had. I have searched for food this good in other cities and countries and have yet to find it.Shawarma is ruined for me now by how good this place is. I used to eat here every day when I worked in the neighborhood. I miss it so much.

The shawarma... was not good. The only part to it that tastes good was the garlic sauce in it. Otherwise will not be returning, nor would I ever recommend it.

Food is good, their spicy spread is excellent. However, Little on the pricey side and they don't take Visa or MasterCard.

Great tasting chicken shawarma! The chicken shawarma here is the closest to taste as the shawarma I've had in Qatar. Also, this place isn't too busy during lunch time and I was able to place an order fairly quickly.Location is pretty good as well. Located in crystal mall on the Kingsway side. Easy to get to by transit but parking in crystal mall is a nightmare.

Most people are talking about the shawarma here, and I agree, it's good. But I want to talk about the falafel. Granted, I haven't tried all the places in town, but comparing the ones I do know, Abdul's is by far the best. He makes the falafel balls when you order them, so they are hot and crispy and fresh. His house made hot sauce, tahini, and other filings and condiments in the wraps are also the best I have had. Be sure to ask him to put the pickled turnips in your wrap.I originally wrote here that unfortunately, once Abdul himself leaves the restaurant and goes home to his family (I'll guess somewhere around 4PM), the quality of the food takes a marked decline. And for that reason I had taken one star away for the times he isn't there. However, my visit today proved mere wrong. Abdul was not there and my falafel was still just as good as ever, therefore I can restore my enthusiastic 5 star rating.
