When we approached the bakery, the servers went to the back. It was odd because you want to greet and be ready to serve customers when they arrive. Then they came back out when we were looking at the items in the fridge. The masked server told us that if we buy over $20 we would get the discount (it was after 6pm) while she already gave us the discount. We could not hear her and so we asked her if we got a discount. Then she sneered with her eyes and said, "Didn't you hear what I said? I said you got a discount." We were shocked because that was not what we heard (otherwise we would not ask). She embarrassed us while it was her fault that she did not speak clearly and misled us (she should just tell us the total after the discount). Also, when I asked her which bread is the coffee loaf, she just said, "The brown one" without getting it for me. The service was horrible.P.S. Anna's Cake House usually have discounts when they are near closing. When we went to the one in Richmond, the servers there never said anything about the discount; they gave us the discount automatically during those hours and simply told us the total when we paid. So the servers at Lougheed can act similarly rather than confuse customers and embarrass customers.

I was in the store at 4:55 looking for coconut bun. The old sales woman there didnot mention they have 20% off after 5pm.I got 7 buns and paid with my Visa. I was still in the store after 5pm, and asked any discount for my 7 buns? She said because she already processed the sales and she can not give my the 20% discount back. She won't redo the sales as many others do for their customers. This old lady is not helping and look after customer's interest, only wants your money! She is not helping Anna's business brcause I will not buy there again! The bun is at the end of the day and they are not fresh, that's is why they have 20% dicount after 5pm.

The buns are not fresh. Unlike the other competitors, the buns are cold and taste awful. I would not recommend to anyone.

I have tried this Anna’s several times before in the past few years. I always want to find something to like about this store but I am always disappointed and regret spending any money there. Their selection of baked goods is extremely limited as well. I often wonder how they continue to stay in business. In any case, this time I bought a birthday cake with fruit. Should have left when the employee looked and sounded like she didn’t want to be there. Cake looked normal. The fruit on top wasn’t mouth watering, but certainly not bad. However, the cake was not soft and spongy. It was rough and did not seem fresh. We usually order fruit cake from T&T on 1st Ave or Metrotown. Way better at T&T, tastes much more fresh, even if I just picked one in the display.I’m done with Anna’s.

Service was terrible and only little selections to choose from.

If you are looking for a tart-shelled egg tart (not puff pastry type shell that most other places make), this is the place to go. They make the best ones in town. Other pastries are hits and misses.

Their fruit cream cakes are so fresh and delicious. There was even a layer of strawberry and mango mousse/pudding in the cake I had. Fruit was great quality and fresh. Whipped cream was just right and the cake was not too sweet.

Its okay, i stopped going because they stopped making the item i primarily went there for, which was the chicken bun. There is a st germaines in coquitlam centre if you want a more thorough selection.
