First time trying aroma eatery and I was so impressed. It tasted exactly like the food I've had in Taiwan. I had given up on good Taiwanese food in Vancouver for so long because I've been disappointed so many times but this place really gave me hope again! We got the combo for 2 and it was so worth it. The combo came with two black teas, two dishes of our choice, and a stir fry vegetable dish and a deep fried tofu dish. It only costed 38$. This is one of my best restaurant finds in a while. I HIGHLY recommend it!

At the outside part of the Crystal Mall, though not the easiest location to find, there is this cozy little Taiwanese eatery. Upon my first visit, I tried their two-person combo priced at $38, which includes four dishes, two iced black teas (or miso soup), and two bowls of rice. Everything tasted great, and the iced black tea reminded me exactly of what I used to enjoy at a bento-style restaurant in Taiwan. If you enjoy Taiwanese cuisine and are looking to dine without breaking the bank, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

So happy to find a real Taiwanese place here! My kids kept on saying this is the best fried chicken bits here, just like back home! generous portions! Small humble restaurant with 100% taiwanese warm hospitality.Gotta try their beef noodles, the duo combo is such a bargain. Tables get filled quickly at lunch hours. A hidden gem for sure! Being able to taste the taste of hometown really makes me and my kids so happy. Beef noodles, crispy salted chicken, Sishen soup, fried tofu... and the ancient black tea that you can drink at the buffet in the past, enjoy it❤️

This is my FAVORITE Taiwanese restaurant! It's a Ma & Pa shop and by far the best I've ever had. It's also the most traditional. The owner is a sweet granny that commutes to work everyday and all the staff are so kind. The food itself is surprisingly not too salty, and you get the best bang for the buck. They offer an insanely cheap combo where you get 2 choices of entrees, agedashi tofu, Taiwanese cabbage, and 2 sweetened iced black teas or miso soups for $38.Even the fried items are so full of meat that it's almost too good to be true. Other restaurants just put a bunch of batter. The staff are so kind where recently they've given an extra tea because sometimes 3 of us share the combo. This place is a haben for Taiwanese ppl missing cuisine from their childhood. Please dine here, I guarantee you will fall in love!

I came here for dinner with my partner. We got three dishes and also complementary miso soup and black tea (you get a choice between the two)! The salt and pepper chicken we got was really good! Just as I was expecting with this Taiwanese dish--crispy, meaty, and delicious! A crispy wonder for my soft mouth. The teriyaki fried rice wasn't what I was expecting, but maybe it exceeded expectations! It was teriyaki chicken served on the side with fried rice with egg and edamame. I loved that it was served on the side so the chicken could stay crispy! The chicken was really flavourful and the teriyaki sauce complemented the saltiness amazingly. The fried rice was just as flavourful. My partner kept commenting on the wok hei! So delicious. Our last dish was the sesame oil chicken soup. I didn't like this as much but it was still really good! Tasted like a soup I'd really enjoy while recovering from a cold. My partner had the miso soup as I don't like miso soup. She said it was good! I noticed lots of little tofu pieces in there as well. The black tea was also really good! It was like a bubble tea without the pearls--it's cold and sweetened with brown sugar. Our one server was running around almost the entire time we were eating! Good service, but don't expect to be attended to closely. It's cold in the restaurant so dress warmly in the fall/winter. Small space with only a few tables.

Super friendly and delicious spot. A combo is more than enough portion for an individual. I ordered a pork chop rice and fry tofu. A bit too much food but delicious.

A hidden gem located at Crystal Mall, they are across from the library and quite unnoticeable. Don’t let this unassuming place fool you, they serve up some authentic Taiwanese dishes. It feels very homey and cozy, the older lady who I believe is the owner is friendly and truly cares if you like the food or not.I ordered the sesame oil chicken noodle soup, and it’s so delicious. Chicken is perfectly seasoned and not too salty, broth is very rich but not overpowered by the sesame oil. Noodle is thin and smooth like angel hair, and topped with the sweetness of cabbage, red date and goji berries. The ginger pieces are not the old chewy ginger as well, so I was able to eat them all without much spicy heat from it. It’s probably one of the tastiest sesame oil chicken noodle soup I’ve had in town. The meal comes with a complimentary red tea or soup, a full lovely meal comes under $20. If you’re going to Crystal mall next time, ditch the food court and head to Aroma Eatery.

Food and their portions were good. The young man serving us was also handling with cleaning supplies, such as mop and bucket, and handling cash payments. He was wearing gloves the entire time and I have doubts that he changes the gloves.

We ordered the shrimp balls with pineapple entree size for $15.75. Instead, we got a tiny appetizer size dish - not worth it. The satay beef was swimming in oil and overly salty. The vegetables tasted like msg. The salty peppery chicken and fried tofu was fine.

My hubby and I ordered lunch special for two people. The food was delicious and flavourful. Love the salt and pepper chicken, the Kung-Pao beef is spicy, my husband likes to eat. They also provide two additional side dishes, veggie and fried tofu (nicely done, crisp and crusty outside, soft inside). They have either tea or soup to choose for drinks. The overall is great, but the store is small with it takes long time to wait for seats. Recommend to go early for lunch instead of 1pm that needed to wait 3-5 parties ahead.Parking: Underground parking, the parkade is not friendly, easy to get into accident. Drive with caution and a long line up to get in sometimes near noon hours during weekend.
