I ordered the Anises Crispy Chicken, which while delicious was not as described. It was not crispy at all... It came served in a puddle of oily sauce and was not battered as described.Quite delicious but not what I expected by their description. I would suggest the name change.

You have to visit Dahlak. The warmest welcome when I arrived. The atmosphere was so cool. I have not even gotten to the food yet. Mmmmmmmm! Wow! The food was out of this world. You must go and expirence it for your self. It's a very cool place to bring a group of friends eat the best food, laugh, listen to music and soak up the amazing vibes.

The vibe was Good , the food wasn't that bad either however the girl that served us on the evening of February the 18th / 2024 was rude , dismissive and disrespectful she needs some lessons on the value of a customer and how to treat one big time ?, She had a really bad attitude, and looked like she was really Mad and ? about something .

Gedam, an Uber driver, recommended Dahlak Restaurant to me. Gedam, thank you!! Dahlak is a hidden gem on Edmonds, just east of Canada Way.The food was delicious AND excellent value. Our main fed four people (two men, two women). Highly recommend the main, Dahlak special meat platter with injera. The two starters, spicy fried lamb and hummus with pita were *really* good too. The owner came came out with a neighbourly hello. It was a nice touch which allowed me to express my appreciation in person. Seriously, go for the food.Parking: Park on Edmonds. No parking that I could find in the back.

Perhaps the best Ethiopian food I have experienced. Highly recommend the meat platter as it is very delicious. Even better, just got to have the hummus appetizer. It is a large serving of creamy hummus, covered with pieces of grilled meat!

Food was incredible; flavourful, big chunks of tender meat. Chachbsa beef was standout as was the awaze tibsi. Had leftovers taken out - but they were gone before midnight.Incredible atmosphere, service can be intermittent but the attention and effort were top notch.Shisha available here!
