I tried their Veg Lunch thali. The taste was really nice, freshly made ingredients satisfied my hunger. Must try once.
The girl working their Pushpinder was very polite and humble.

I ordered fish pakora and chaat papdi yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The fish pakora were the worst I’ve ever had — dripping with oil, overloaded with batter, and lacking any seasoning. As for the chaat papdi, it looked nothing like the pictures and turned out soggy, even though I picked it up right at the requested time. I had high expectations, especially since we had friends coming over, but sadly the food was tasteless and underwhelming.

My experience was wonderful. The staff recommended me the combination of butter chicken and garlic naan and it was fabulous. Gobi Manchurian appetizer was really flavourful. The service was top notch.

I placed an order today at 8 PM through Uber Eats, and the experience was absolutely frustrating. Out of the 4 garlic naans I paid for, the restaurant only packed 1—and that one looked yellowish, as if turmeric had been smeared on it. Because of this careless mistake, I had to reorder from another restaurant, spending an extra $25 and waiting until 10 PM just so my son and I could finally eat dinner. (I’ve even attached the other restaurant’s receipt as proof.)
When I called to report the issue, the staff brushed it off with, “Next time you’ll get free.” That response is unacceptable. A customer should not be left hungry, inconvenienced, and out of pocket because of a restaurant’s negligence.
To make matters worse, the Kadai Paneer was ruined—overloaded with turmeric and tasting completely off.
This was an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience. If you value your money, time, and a decent meal, I strongly advise staying away from this restaurant.

Me and my friend went out to spend some time together. The food was really bad — I ordered mango juice but it tasted like just yellow color and sugar mixed. The golgappas were smelly.i feel stomachache after eating.

My wife and I had lunch at Desi Turka Indian Cuisine today and absolutely loved it! We ordered the chicken biryani and steamed chicken momos, and both dishes were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The biryani had the perfect balance of spice and aroma, and the momos were incredibly juicy and delicious.
The service was also top-notch — our waitress was so kind and attentive, which made our experience even better. We left feeling full, happy, and very satisfied. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving authentic Indian food with great service!

A Hidden Gem on 6th Street – Desi Tadka Delivers a Flavourful Surprise
Desi Tadka is the kind of restaurant you could easily miss if you blink—but you really shouldn’t! We were driving down 6th Street in Burnaby, searching for a lunch spot we hadn’t yet tried, when we decided to turn around and give this little place a chance. And we’re so glad we did.
We ordered the lamb curry thali lunch special, and to our delight, every item served in the small bowls was packed with flavour—far from the usual Punjabi fare you find at many Indian restaurants across BC. Each bite was a burst of authenticity and care.
The thali came with:
• A richly spiced and tender lamb curry
• A deeply comforting daal
• A refreshing raita with crushed cumin and grated carrots
• A warm gulab jamun for a sweet finish
• Steamed rice
• A crisp tomato-cucumber-onion salad
• And three soft, fresh naan—perfect for scooping up all the goodness
Everything was simply delicious. What made the experience even more memorable was the warm hospitality—Bindia welcomed us with a genuine smile and excellent service. And we must send our compliments to the talented chef, Humal Singh, whose cooking truly made this meal a treat.
Thank you, Desi Tadka, for a wonderful lunch! We’ll definitely be back. 🙏

I had an amazing time here, the service was fantastic and the server was super attentive. Probably some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in a while :) They were open quite late, and did not mind letting us hang out and chat after we paid. Lovely experience overall!
