Hiel has been a weekly escape from reality for me since before the pandemic (remember that? Boy howdy) and for very good reason! It's a perfect place to relax and take a load off, with a comfy vibe and consistently delicious treats and drinks to match - and the icing on the cake? The amazingly warm and friendly customer service from each and every person there. It's always nice to feel genuinely welcomed and this bunch are great at it, little wonder I keep coming back!
Wow!! Such amazing food:) the soufflé pancake and salmon/prawn sandwich were surreal. We will be coming back!
We stopped by Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and ended up staying almost two hours, the lattes were that good. My husband got the avocado toast and I had a slice of their lemon cake, both fresh and not overpriced for the portion size. The window seating gave us a nice view of the street while we people watched, and the staff were friendly enough to recommend a decaf option for me without any fuss.
