This is a hole-in-the-wall type place and may not look like much. However, you can tell the quality when you see the steady stream of locals coming to it. The food we had took a little time to get as it was all prepared fresh. And it was worth the wait!Highly recommend!

Amazing value for money! Great portions and tasty food at a very affordable price. Tastes like a home cooked meal.

Amazing food, we had the large sized regular and spicy chicken shawarma and it was delicious. The owners are super welcoming and the wait time is only about 10 mins and the ingredients are fresh. We will come here regularly.

I just had the Chicken Shwarma pita wrap for lunch and it was sooo good. Definitely coming back and bringing others.

Had a beef donair, chicken shawarma platter and got to try a few appetizers. Everything was delicious, especially the grilled beef donair. The hot sauce was also on point, they should bottle it up and sell it!Owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. I will be back again when i'm in the area

I’ve been coming here since 2007. The chicken rocket is amazing and is worth every penny. Sadly I ate it before I thought to take a picture. The sampler appetizer is solid and has so many wonderful flavours. Fantastic hidden gem.

Excellent food. Well priced and a warm welcoming staff. I think it's family owned and operated which is a nice thing to see these days.

Best experience ever! The owners were so kind and the baklava was amazing (the owner makes it by hand)!!! So talented, it’s a must try :)

My husband wanted to try the new Shiok Express stall that had recently opened up in the Lougheed mall food court, so we went to have lunch there together. The menu at Shiok Express is limited and heavy on meat, which doesn't work so well for me as I'm Pescatarian. Consequently, we made a stop at Golden Pita just outside Lougheed Mall so that I could grab something there for my lunch while my husband would eat food from Shiok Express. It's a small restaurant but there are a few tables there if you'd like to sit and eat there. They've got one of those things that stands upright and rotates while holding a big chunk of meat on it. That's something I used to enjoy back when I was a meat eater. It definitely caught my husband's eye. If he hadn't already been set on eat at Shiok Express that day, I think he would have ordered some kind of meat dish from Golden Pita, so he could have the meat carved freshly from that rotating thingy...(I really need to figure out the proper word for that thingy!)I ordered the Vegan Special which came with 3 pieces of falafel, a spinach pie, stuffed grape leaf, tabbouleh salad, rice, pita bread and hummus and tahini dips. This was a wonderful meal and I highly recommend it. Even the rice was tasty. This one order gives you so much variety. The only thing I didn't like was the tabbouleh salad. There was too much parsley in this salad. Everything else was delicious and I really hope to go back there again sometime!Service: FairParking: Plentiful and free.Location: Convenient. Lots of shops and places to eat both at Lougheed Mall and in the surrounding area.

Used to owned by Lebanese. Now owned by a Persian guy. Food is unfortunately not the same. Chicken wow pockets used to be my absolute favorite. Unfortunately now they are way to full of pepper and have no olive oil. However, portions were good. Maybe I would try one more time.

Honestly the best food I've had in a while. If I could give 6 stars I would. I don't usually leave reviews but it feels necessary here, this was such a good meal. And it's not expensive at all - total cost before tip was about 14 bucks for a wrap, a small soup, and a soda. The moud wrap is amazing - incredibly filling and even the regular size is big. The lentil soup is also very filling. Definitely would recommend both of these.Very nice staff. Will be returning shortly!
