One of the best sushi restaurants in BC. Unlike most which are actually owned by Koreans, this place is truly Japanese. They have a high level of respect for the food they make. And, their mascot is a kappa, and I love kappas!
Their dinner set (sushi and sashimi) is great. Each person in my family gets every time we go. On special occasions, we make a deliberate effort to go out of our way and eat here.

Excellent spot.
I do not really like fish but the exception to that is quality. The quality of fish here is wonderful, does not feel like the ocean nut in your mouth. Highly recommended location, the pricing is very fair and the menu is large enough to provide you the the flexibility to splurge if you want to.
Staff are super friendly and quick to respond to your needs! Overall, I was impressed and highly recommend this gem.

Such a lovely place. Haven’t had such good sushi in a while. Good price and good portions. Definitely recommend!
Taste was average/standard to other restaurants in the area but the portion sizes were on the smaller size, especially the salmon sashimi. For $21 I would expect thicker slices. Similar with the salmon nigiri.
Dynamite roll almost $9 with only 5 pieces!?

I've been in Canada since the ice ages and I can't recall the last time I've been in a Japanese restaurant where it's actually ran by Japanese people.
It has the atmosphere of those run down Chinese restaurants. Endless things to choose from the menu with the food still a 10/10. Only thing missing is the owners kid doing homework by the back tables.
Food came out at a reasonable time, not too fast for me to assume they just had everything simmering on a stove.

Delicious, authentic, reasonably priced!
Busy even when it's not a weekend, nice authentic Japanese food. Still one of the longest lasting Japanese restaurant in burnaby that I have been going for many years... but not quite certain if it is fully operated by Japanese anymore... the atmosphere changed and certainly it feels different now.

Excellent service, fabulous fresh sushi- can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!
I came here with my family before 5:45pm on Sunday evening. The sashimi tasted great and fresh quality for sure. We enjoyed the rolls, too. Very nice service when we were attended by all the servers. I'd bring my family and friends again.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s such a cozy spot for comfort food. Perfect if you want something tasty but still light and easy on the stomach. The tempura here is great—it’s got a thin, crispy coating that feels more like what you’d get in Japan. My go-to is the fish tempura and the veggie soba. Definitely recommend!
