The food is alright I guess. The chicken bulgogi was good but a bit too sweet. The tofu soup was very oily, but it’s alright. Overall, food is good, atmosphere is great.

Great Korean restaurant with amazing food. I got the combo set with galbi and the Korean pizza thing. It's a great value and delicious. Their kimchi is also really good here and you can buy it from them.

Food was served quickly. The elderly owner warmly greeted guests and stayed very hands-on. Staff were attentive and kept checking on side dish refills. Overall, a great experience!

Their food and service were excellent.
However, the restaurant was so hot that I couldn’t really enjoy my meal.
I asked the server to turn on the air conditioning, but they told me it was already on. I was shocked.
They even brought me an ice pack and did their best, but I don’t think I could come back on a hot day.

It has been a while I didn’t visit this restaurant since 2020. The food taste good as previously. I order the beef , soup. Clod noodle. Sea food pie. Everything is good. Waitress is professional and nice, always check us anything needed. A lot of parking space outside. Need to register your vehicle plate to waive park fee.

Loved my meal at Jang Mo Jib Metrotown! Their soups hit the spot—warm, rich, and comforting. Every dish felt like a hug in a bowl. Great portions, quick service, and those side dishes? Chef’s kiss. I’ll be back for sure.

Jang Mo Jib is one of those stalwart establishments that seem to have been here since time immemorial, quietly doling out steaming bowls of comfort without seeking applause. It was, in fact, my very first experience of Korean cuisine in Vancouver, and it has remained unwavering in quality ever since. No dramatic ascents or tragic declines, just consistent, honest fare.
The staff are exceptionally attentive. One might even say relentlessly so. If being fussed over is your idea of a good time, you’re in for a treat. Every few moments someone will check in to see if you need anything, water, cutlery, emotional validation. They mean well, though at times it borders on theatrical.
The space is generous by local standards. Tables are spaced like civilised adults at a dinner party, and unlike much of Metrotown, parking is not a mythical concept here. You can actually leave your car without a blood sacrifice to the urban planning gods.
A fine place to bring the family, your hungover self, or anyone who appreciates solid Korean cooking in a place where you won’t be rushed or elbowed. Not revolutionary, but utterly respectable.

Authentic Korean Comfort Food at Its Best – A Hidden Gem on Kingsway
If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food, look no further than Jangmojip on Kingsway. This cozy mom and pop shop serves up some of the most heartwarming dishes I've had in Vancouver. From the rich, flavorful stews to the perfectly seasoned banchan (side dishes), every bite tastes like a home-cooked meal made with love.
The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. It’s not a fancy place, but that’s exactly what makes it special – it’s warm, genuine, and full of character.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for real Korean home-style food. A true hidden gem that deserves more attention.

Mid Korean food. The food here is way too sweet and oily. The kimchi isn’t marinated. Not a place I would recommend. Would only come here if all the other Korean restaurants were closed and if it was my last resort. Definitely edible, but not enough for a second visit.

How do you mess up meat that you just put in water. Meat was literally sweet, what do you put in this, sugar? Wasted my money, time, and taste buds.

Came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and it was delicious. Got the combo with budae jjigae, LA galbi, seafood pajeon, and a japchae. Everything was great! Side dishes too. The staff are friendly.
