Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - Metrotown

First time here for lunch and lucky it was half full. Last time i tried to come here for dinner, the wait was 45min so i left. Great value for under $20. They offered us free extra rice or noodles with our order!? We all declined. I enjoyed my pork cutlet with Japanese curry on rice 😋

Have been a loyal customer for over two years now. Amazing food, vibes and service. Reasonable prices. Waiters are always efficient and friendly. Their membership program is great too. They have various deals and promotions all year round, so definitely worth checking out! 🍜❤️

We ordered the Mentaiko Cream Mazesoba and Chicken Karaage, Ebi Mayo. The food is always tasty ,we’ve come here many times and it’s always great. Definitely recommend!

Not many choices...

Tucked away in station square plaza is a wonderful place to have mazesoba. Food was very tasty and lots of classic options including a vegan tomato based choice. They had XL serving of noodles and free rice at the end to soak up all the sauce. Was a little bit salty but overall really tasty. The servicd was impeccable and most of the ordering and request was done on a little tablet which was so convenient. Restaurant itself was so cute and decorated so nicely. Would recommend.

This is the thrid time comming here, and I still got the best experience I've have:

The menu is completely changed. They added more stuffs and provide a small computer to order and call servers. Very refreshing for me.

I ordered deluxe curry rice bowl this time. Pretty delicious and much better than I expected. Fragrant rice with curry with just the right amount of spiciness and large amount of tonkotsu and chicken karaage. Definately worth $20.

And I really appreciate the server, she was so patient and friendly. Although I have a bit stuttering, she still listened to me attentively and completely explain all the stuff on the menu.

Unfortunately, due to the menu changes, they cancelled the 4 x 4 optional combo and I cannot have their cheese cake with lower price :(

Anyways it is still my favorite Japanese restaurant in metro Vancouver, definitely will visit again.

Food: Tried their Shio Mazesoba, upgraded to low carb soba. Very flavourful sauce, garlicky and savoury. The noodles has an interesting al dente yet a bit of softness kind of texture. The noodles were purposely cut into shorter strands making it easier to eat. An enjoyable dish.

Service: The service is good but it's hard to get the waiter/waitress attention if sitting in the bar section. Tables have tablets can call for service so no problem. It depends on where you sit.

He told me that it would be fine in five minutes, but I was asked to stand at the door and wait for another twenty minutes to cool down. After the food was ready, I took it out and ran away without even saying sorry for the long wait. I left the food at the front desk.

The Mazesoba has medium-thick noodles and also contains fish powder, so it has a strong flavor and is very delicious. Also, there was a lot of meat in it, so even though it was a normal size, it was enough to satisfy me. The gyoza was packed with filling and crispy on the outside, making it a filling dish.
