I just called to make a reservation and their answering machine says the business is closed for good. Very sad to hear. I always enjoyed their food and excellent service. Authentic Greek food - so yummy. Good luck to the family !

Minoa’s was a Family run authentic Greek restaurant run by Georgia, the family matriarch and her kids. The best Greek food in town. Sadly COVID lockdowns took their toll and their business never recovered its clientele, combined with increased operating costs. Georgia, so many happy memories of fine evenings at Minoa’s. Enjoy your retirement!

Not sure how this restaurant ranks as highly as it does in Burnaby, but I think part of it is nostalgia, as I know it’s been around for decades. My wife and I went here several times when we first met and got married about 30 years ago, but I’m not sure what’s happened since. Or, perhaps my memory is faulty. Regardless, we were there last night with our son, and it just did not meet our expectations. Waitstaff were friendly, that part was fine, but we discovered they are selling the restaurant and as a result there were some drinks and food items they didn’t even have. We each had chicken souvlaki, and it was underwhelming - chicken was dry, and as others have mentioned, the ridiculously tiny size of the Greek salad was a bit of a joke, plus no olives at all. And very little feta cheese. Had a martini, and it was tiny, not worth the price. Not much more to say, it was a disappointing experience

Ordered food for 40 people (with spanakopita and vegetarian dishes). There was more than enough food and everything was tasty! Lamb souvlaki was a great hit. Thank you Anna for taking care of us!

Excellent atmosphere, filled with art and curiosities, and lots of natural light, and clean. Service was really attentive and friendly. The food was disappointing to me. Had chicken souvlaki; rice and carrots were oily without being flavorable, potato was small, pita was a little stale The chicken was well cooked and attractive. The salad was fresh but scant on feta and no olive(s). A Greek salad with no olives is like Mona Lisa wearing a Covid mask.

Hidden gem! 宝藏希腊餐馆啊大家!I was stunned by the interior design. I walked by many times yet didn’t realize this place is a restaurant. Owner is friendly. They gave me homemade cookies while I waiting for pickup. Told me story about this restaurant (check the framed photos), the house is about 100 years old, restaurant is about 40 years old! Wow. Such a vintage place. Could be excellent for dating.I ordered Mousaka. Looks like lasagna. I love it!!!

I have been here a few times with my friend, and it is honestly in my top three favorite Greek places in the greater Vancouver area. Very warm environment, and great food. You can't go wrong with this place!Parking: It's an open lot just behind the restaurant

This cute little Greek shop tucked in Burnaby near Metrotown. It's run by a Greek family who's been running this place for a long time. The service is fast and friendly. I see lots of regulars. The restaurant is on the second floorWe had the seafood platter, the meat platter and the appetizer platter as well as the lamb plate. The food was not bad, the portions are pretty decent. The rice was well cooked and nicely flavoured. The lamb was fall off the bone tender. The platters are a good idea if you want to sample everythingOverall I would recommend it if you are looking for someplace to enjoy the view of Burnaby Park while eating some Greek food.Tip: they have a parking lot in the back

A wonderful, cozy old fashioned atmosphere run by the original friendly family. A rarity in today’s crazy fast-paced world. To whiners, I say “get a grip”! We came as a group of 8 and very much enjoyed the flavourful traditional food. Thank you!

I didn't think there could be bad Greek Food but I found it. The food all lacked flavour. My spanokapita was soggy. My brother's lamb chops were 50% fat. My husband's lamb shoulder was terrible. My son's fries weren't seasoned at all with salt out of the fryer. The service was terrible and my husband had to keep getting up to track down drinks and ketchup, etc. It was mother's day but the restaurant wasn't full. My mom loved it there for 20 years but we will never be back.
