“The best Dutch breakfast I’ve had in Vancouver!
This place is like a little time capsule, very simple decor and analog systems, but it’s all part of the charm.
They pay homage to their founder in the menu and throughout the space, which is really sweet.
The menu is huge, so my husband and I both opted for the classic Pannenkoek; I got the smoked salmon/edam/tomatoe & added a basted egg (like a cross between poached and sunnyside up) and my husband got the smoked sausage and egg one.
Because they don’t have modern systems, I don’t recommend modifying your order; they forgot an add-on to my husband’s order and returned it without the eggs, which was part of the original menu item. And, I had already finished my meal so it wasn’t an ideal experience. Nonetheless, the food was exceptional and they were very apologetic.“
