I regularly do takeout here, but found the Chicken Karaage super disappointing – overpriced at $8 for below average, small pieces of chicken. These pieces were super small... probably the smallest pieces I've ever had. It's almost as though they ran out and only had these scraps. Very weird. They never should have served it if they only had these available. Never ordering this dish again.

I revisited Okoman Restaurant in Burnaby. I remember visiting this location regularly when I lived in the area years ago. It's still a comfortable restaurant to take a guest and enjoy a privy booth.
Large portions of no flavor. If the server would stick around and give advice then I could have maybe found a better dish but I didnt end up finding a dish I liked. Unfortunately she daid yes the dish has lota of veggies but their idead of lots of veggies was spring mix salad. The spring rolls looked and tasted like the ones I buy from the freezer section in the grocerystore . I was disappointed that the food tasted store bought and they werent interested in teaching a new customer about some of their dishes. I won't be trying this restaurant again.

I went there last night, it was 9:20 pm when we got there, we ordered 2 rolls and one assorted sashimi platter. Sushi rolls were good but the sashimi was frozen and they haven't defrost them completely so you could feel the ice crystals inside the sashimi cuts, which wasn't pleasant at all. I asked if they are frozen and the lady who worked there told me all sashimis are frozen! Rolls were good but sashimi's not recommended at all.
What a great spot! Loved the food, super tasty—and the prices were totally fair. One of my favorites in the area.

Only one server available with busy hour, so not much service at all. Inside was a bit dark. Chirashi don not much various sashimi compare with others and portion was a bit small. Also miso soup was a bit salty.
