Dined in on Tuesday last night with my parents at the restaurant. There are many options on the menu to choose from and the waitress' service was good and friendly. The private room was well set up, too.

Had lunch there today and the server spoke such poor English that she not only got our order wrong once but twice! On top of that, my lunchmate and I both had stomach issues which resulted in having to rush to the washroom once we arrived home. Although the food tasted good, there was something obviously wrong. The private seat booths are cute but very uncomfortable. This restaurant is going downhill.

Delicious sushi and sashimi. We ordered the Sashimi Bento to go and would highly recommend it as it lets you try several menu items for one fixed price and leaves you full and satisfied. Everything was packaged perfectly too.The sashimi bento came with miso soup, a choice of terriyaki beef or chicken with rice (we chose chicken and the portion was great but the chicken could have been more tender and flavourful but it was still good), tempura (2 ebi, 2 sweet potato, and one snapper tempura which were all delicious), a small green salad, salmon oshi sushi, and 4 chefs choice sashimi but they gave us 5 slices of sashimi of 4 types of fish which all tasted Fresh. It’s like going to the restaurant and ordering a bit of everything you want for a fixed price of $25.95 per person and for the amount of food we got and the variety, it was worth it.

Lovely place to eat, good privacy as there are booths with foldable curtains/drops. The service was nice, we did go during a busy time so it did take a little longer but highly recommend.

Every time I come here, the chicken teriyaki smells fishy and cold.I hate beef teriyaki because it tastes like bulgogi teriyaki. When I ate the chicken roll here, it was cold and fishy, so I threw it away after just one bite. The chicken is hard when fried in oil or when cooled.I don't like it because it seems like it's not Japanese teriyaki, but only hognai.Same with the donburi.I went with my friends on Saturday to drink and eat, but the new sushi man had too much rice in his rolls and the quality seemed worse than before. The price isn't cheap, and the fish seems to be lacking in freshness. I sometimes stay up late to drink because it's close to my house, but I don't want to come back again.Sometimes you can even see rat droppings ㅠㅠ

01/30/24The atmosphere wasreally nice, the server was very welcoming.Ordered a few things, and it seemed that nothing was fresh.Everything that should have beenhot was room temperature, and everything that was supposed to be cold was warm.I overlooked everything because the server was very kind and brought us complimentary miso soup and veg sunomono. However once we started eating I could tell that nothing was fresh. The salmon tasted old and really really fishy, the shelfish tasted very old I couldn't eat more than a few bites. And this restaurant isn't the cheapest sushi spot, they're actually above the norm for prices.Fast forward to the evening and I spent half my night becoming best friends with my toilet resulting in me calling in sick the next day.Normally I'd give benefit of the doubt, maybe I was unlucky and it was a one off. But it seems that there are many others with similar experiences with this place.

Excellent service. I’ve ordered the dyna bento. The tempura are well fried and the dynamic rolls are bigger than average bento sushi roll. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing but what made it the best place was the service. The lady owner was super nice and kind. She made the experience wonderful. She is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. The food was also super good and very reasonably price for the quality that you get. Highly recommend 11/10. BEST PLACE EVER!!!!

I’m extremely puzzled at the negative reviews people have posted. This place has the best Japanese food in the entire lower mainland. I have gone to numerous similar restaurants and none compare. Everything tastes amazing. This is my boyfriend and I’s favourite restaurant and we’re so fortunate it’s down the street from us. We went for a two years straight from 2022-2023 and stopped going about 4 months ago due to personal medical issues and yesterday was our first time back and the food and service was better then ever. The servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. The food quality did not go down one bit if anything I kept raving about how it was the best it had ever tasted and is why I decided to write a review. Thank you and Keep up the great work and please don’t ever close down!!!

An extremely average experience in terms of food, but the worst part was the service. When trying to place a takeout order one time, the person on the phone became very aggressive and just hung up on me. can only assume he heard something wrong and took offense. I tried calling back right after but he immediately hung up on me as soon as I explained that I had just called. Never bothered going back since.

Man this place has really gone down. I’ve been to this place for many years, but haven’t gone to it since the other day as I have moved several times, and man I think it’s time to shut this place down. I know that since I have moved out from across the street, the restaurant has repeatedly changed management and this current management definitely needs to go. First, the chicken from my chicken teriyaki don was cold and not fresh. You know how when you have leftover chicken from the other day and it just tastes like leftover chicken from the other day? Yeah, it tasted like that. Also, the don hardly had any chicken on it. Now, the aburi salmon toro oshi. I ordered two of them and both literally had like squiggly lines for mayo and carelessly torched on top. It looked like a grade schooler did them. Next was the gyoza. Burnt as hell, even my six year old said he didn’t want to eat it. This was definitely not worth the $55+ that I spent on. The only good thing about it was the tempura, but hey that’s an easy dip and fry right, anyone can do that. So to the management, shame on you. You should know that with this economy that it’s very expensive to eat out and when a patron just wants to splurge/treat oneself, don’t chince or cheap out on the amount and quality of food. So do us all a favour and just shut down now so a restaurant that is actually worthy can take over.
