This happened nearly six months ago and I’m still going to write this out to dunk on the place

They served me shrimp fried rice with rotten shrimp. Smelled like bad, rotten, seafood. Got a friend to taste it too - spit it out immediately.

Took it to the waiter and asked why this was. He smelled it. Went to the kitchen and came back and said the shrimps were, in fact, not rotten. Then they made me pay for the rice anyways and gave me a different fried rice as compensation. And then told me again that the shrimp was not rotten.

If I could give 0 stars, I would.
I saw that this place is temporarily closed, so a review doesn’t matter anyways. Don’t care. Going to say it and will recommend to anyone always to stay the hell away from this place. If it opens back up again, do yourself a favour and walk past it. Go to McDonald’s.

This place is not a hidden gem, this place escaped from the mines.

Food is so bad here. Ordered intestine and it looked nothing like the picture. Even though the menu said the final product might not resemble the picture, I did not expect the end product to be this different? The honey garlic chicken was unbelievably salty and tasted more like soy. Bulgogi was disgusting as it came drenched in a bowl of soup. There are way better family style Korean restaurants nearby. Will never come back here.

Extraordinary noodles with generous portions for a super low price!
I have no idea why this place is nearly empty every time I visit, but it's THE hidden gem in Vancouver!

I think they make their own noodles from scratch, which explains the low price :) Their side dishes are just as good, but it's priced a bit high on its own - it evens things out if you get the combo with noodles.

I would recommend trying this place if you're ever around Burnaby or visiting Metrotown. You won't regret it!!

There’s a good $10 deal (the only reason I go).

Sad tho that the last two times I tried going, they list that they are open, only to be closed (12/31 ~8 pm I called and the server told me to not come and 01/09 ~6:15 pm they were closed). Also, the last time I ate here there were fruit flies in the clear vinegar bottle so be careful!!

Nice fusion Korean restaurant. Toasty food and reasonable prices. I went for lunch with a friend and had a good time.

We got take out orders for the honey garlic chicken and grilled smoky pork rib, they were so good! The chicken had a lot of sauce and was crispy, and the pork was so tender and flavourful. We'd love to come back and dine in. The orders took 20 minutes to cook and the staff were super nice and let us sit in the restaurant and even gave us some spring rolls which were golden, crunchy, and light.

The place it’s good but only 1 server for the entire place make the wait time too long, we have to wait for the bill almost 30 minutes! Same thing with the drinks and food.

So, for anyone wanting to go to SOJU for well, soju, you’re better off going to get it at a local wine and spirits store.

It’s not clear when you walk in: you have to order food with your soju. The food, for the price, is very subpar. The fried rice was barely fried, under seasoned, and I’d almost say undercooked.

There are a lot of other dining options in the area, please pursue those and get soju ala carte; you’ll thank yourself later.

We arrived right when a large dinner party was leaving, so we had to wait quite a while to get seated, for someone to take our order, and for water to arrive. Otherwise, the food was amazingly cheap for how much you received! We also received extra ice cream at the end for the trouble.

I don't know how more people aren't going to this hidden gem. Literally the food tastes so good and is so affordable and portion sizes are amazing. I've taken almost all of my friends here and every single one of them is blown away by how good things have been. Highly recommend it and highly recommend trying out the food bonus points for being open late.
