Hojicha latte had no flavour. The milk was also not frothed properly and the hojicha was not whisked long enough. Not worth the $9 price tag.I would not recommend getting a drink from here. However I've tried their parfait before and that was really good.Vegetarian options: Oat milk was an option

As a matcha fan, Tsujiri has always been one of my top matcha stores to go to in Burnaby. However, today's visit wasn't that pleasant. I went to Tsujiri around 4pm and I was the only customer. The staff saw me but didn't say a word nor a smile and looked away, continued doing nothing. I briefly looked at the menu and was ready to order but she was fiddling with things in the kitchen (wasn't making orders or cleaning anything so I wasn't sure what she was doing..?) and I waited to see if she would eventually attend to me but I had to call out to her in the end. It seemed like she did not want to work there.Drink was good as always but I would suggest the staff to be trained more on customer service. A simple "hello" or a smile will change the whole mood. As well as being ready to take the customer's order.

I ordered two slices of cake. I find it too expensive (around $7 each) because it was too small, they could have made it slightly bigger. The matcha was mousse like but it wasn’t too sweet, which is good.

Not my cup of .... The environment and atmosphere is pretty good. Service is attentive but the food quality and flavor are very lacking today IMO. Wild salmon sashimi temperature was too cold and it doesn't taste anything like fish or wild salmon. The nigiri sushi rice came loss from the rice cake form. The Uni seaweed wrap is wrinkle and not crisp in texture and taste is very blended as a whole. The rest of the food we ordered were very forgettable and not impressive. Pricing is fair. The best thing I had for the night is the draft beer.

I come here everytime I visit Metrotown. I love their matcha lattes and financiers! So delicious.

We'd just gotten back from a trip to Japan, and were missing our Hojicha ice cream so I stopped by @tsujiri_bc in Metrotown and bought a Hojicha float for my daughter and I to share. There was barely any liquid in the float. It was really more of a soft serve ice cream than a float. This hit the spot as the Hojicha ice cream is really what we were after. For some reason, the menu at Tsujiri doesn't offer an option of having Hojicha ice cream on its own. Only in a float.Didn't quite match up to the Hojicha ice creams that we'd had in Japan but for a nearby option that was a short drive away, and not a plane ride away...I was happy with this!Service: GoodParking: Plentiful and freeLocation: 4700 Kingsway #1145, Burnaby, BC

I tried Shiratama Parfait and Yuzu Citron Parfait (matcha), and it was so good. Also, don’t forget to try their matcha cheesecake.

I have noticed an older review for this place though, where someone managed to get Hojicha soft serve in a cone. I wonder if it's something I simply need to inquire about at the store.Didn't quite match up to the Hojicha ice creams that we'd had in Japan but for a nearby option that was a short drive away, and not a plane ride away...I was happy with this!Service: GoodParking: Plentiful and freeLocation: 4700 Kingsway #1145, Burnaby, BC

I hate giving one star reviews but for a store that specializes in Matcha it was one of the worst matcha drinks I've ever had; maybe it was spoiled, but the matcha flavor tasted cheap and like fake vanilla and sewer water. The desserts look pretty but the cake had an awful dry texture. Ice cream was fine but not as good as it should be for again, a store that claims to specialize in Matcha and Hojicha.

dec 20~1:30pmI went here to try a japanese matcha drink. The girl working with long split dye hair was very helpful to help me decide what to get, and I ordered a matcha frappe. I’m a long time lover of drinks like bubble tea and I can see she put a lot of love and effort into making my drink. It’s delicious. Highly recommend!

Tried the kinako matcha latte and it was delicious! It was a bit on the pricy side though but the quality made up for it

The hojicha soft is so so good. Beautiful flavour. However, the yuzu jelly of the float didn't taste like much. A little pricy.

Whenever I want a matcha drink, Tsujiri is my go to place. The drinks are made with matcha powder and have a stronger taste of green tea. My favorite drink is the kuromitsu kinako matcha latte. I like the sweet roasted soybean matcha flavor in the drink. Plus I don't think you can get that at other places. The soft serve is equally nice though I get the drink more than the dessert stuff. This is a small shop which is just for take out. I don't see any tables and chairs for dining in. They also sells dacquoise and cheesecake. Located across from St Germaine bakery near Superstore.

Ordered Yuzu Citron Float. It's quite good. I got the combo flavour ice cream. I like the matcha flavour more. I think it goes better with the dairy flavour. At the bottom it is the yuzu slushy. It's quite refreshing for the summer or when you get hot from walking in the heated mallThe price it's a premium side. If you have the extra change and looking for something other than bbt or coffee. This is worth a tryThe lady on duty was friendly and helpful. She also served the drink swiftly too.
