Vassilis Souvlaki Greek Taverna

Celebrated my brother’s birthday here, though the food was so good we almost forgot to pay attention to him. We ordered the Kalamari, Lamb Souvlakis, Roast Lamb, and the Cod. The tzatziki is also really good. Zero complaints across the board; everything was absolutely delicious.

The service was just as good. Our server did a phenomenal job taking care of us. They were attentive without hovering, which is exactly what you want.

Great food, stellar staff. We'll definitely be back. 5 stars.

About 25 people in party and the room to the back was great for feeling private on a Sunday dinner time. Wonderful decor and traditional layout. Thought the lamb, chicken and shrimp souvlaki were outstanding. Rice pilaf? had many positive comments. The mini potatoes with skin on is not what I am used to in Greek food (I like the more lemony, peeled taters). Likewise, the Greek salad and tzatzkiki were deficient in tang; perhaps that is the more authentic way but me likea the zip! Overall, nice place for a group get-together and food pretty fair too. The washrooms need more lighting, larger cubicles and stronger water pressure; sorry, just keeping it real and I know not easily reno'd.

Love the atmosphere in the restaurant and the food is always delicious. Authentic Greek vibes. Favourites are the moussaka and roast lamb. One of our favourite local restaurants.

I ordered the chicken souvlaki and the fried calamari as appetizer. I really enjoyed my chicken skewers, the meat was tender and moist. Service was good as well. I will definitely return.

Fantastic service! Our server knew the menu very well and was great with recommendations. Wait time was very short and atmosphere was great. They have a real grapes hanging from the ceiling!!

We've been here countless times. This one is our favourite Greek restaurant. We love their calamari appetizer and roast lamb dish! Garlic prawns are great as well. The rice is more home-style which we enjoy more, over other Greek restaurants.

My friend lives nearby, so we have been here many times. We always get the roast lamb. The platter seemed even more appealing than we remembered, and it was just as good. The portion of meat is very generous - I took home almost all the rice (a reasonable sized-portion to eat, not a plate-filler portion), some salad, a bit of the zucchini, and enough meat for tonight, with still lamb left over for tomorrow. The lamb was tasty and tender.
