Ordered the Sichuan spicy pot, pork blood noodles and chilli chicken. Soup lacked flavour and was very bland. The chicken came in a bowl with crumbled pieces and it looks like it was leftover from bits of chicken. Very different from the other franchise stores especially the ones in Toronto :(

The food has good value but service is terrible. You get what you pay for. Waited 40 mins for the food to come, only get it after seeing people who came later got their food and had to follow up with the waiter.

Had dinner here. Conveniently located in Crystal Mall, near Metrotown.
The dishes were affordable and came in generous portions. I tried the braised beef hand-pulled noodles, braised pork ribs with rice, and deep-fried tofu with garlic and soy sauce.
I think the couch where we sat could use some reupholstering, as it’s starting to look worn — not ideal for a restaurant setting.
Service was just okay, not particularly friendly. Paid $44 for two persons with tip.
Overall, I’d dine here again

Dinner for 3. Ordered the original noodle soup, the signature chicken rice and a cold noodle. They are all delicious. The spicy mild was more spicier than i thought. Good comfort food anytime of the year.

How dare you call this rice noodle when you served a bowl of leftovers in chili water? Absolutely disgraceful!

It’s ok. The pot is too small and I barely had enough fish even though I ordered 2x fish. Taste is ok. I wish the air conditioning was stronger.
Yunshang Rice Noodle at Kingsway is a solid go-to for comforting, flavorful bowls of rice noodle soup. The broth is rich and satisfying, and the ingredients always taste fresh. I especially like the customizable spice levels and side options—it’s easy to get exactly what you’re craving. The service is quick and efficient, and the space is clean but they could do better, great for a casual meal.

I'm normally a fan of Yunshang and eat it often in Toronto however, this location has shady business practices and does not taste as good as other locations. I got the sauerkraut fish and spicy shoot the cucumber and these items definitely disappointed. The service received was extremely poor... sad to say even for an Asian restaurant.
Additionally they have a daily special listed outside but is unable to stack with their 10% VIP discount which is not listed on the sign which I find quite shady.
Lastly they had people sleeping in their restaurant in the booths

Simple noodle dish. Had the sour soup base fish soup and tomato one. Good value for money with good seating and enviornment but nothing groundbreaking.

Yunshang rice noodle specializes in rice noodle dishes but they also have some rice and meat options.
Order via QR code but they also have paper menus.
We got the fish with sour vegetable option that came with rice noodles as well as the pork with rice option (medium spicy). The medium spicy was very spicy so if you can’t handle your spice, I would discourage you from getting it. Both dishes were just ok. The noodles were good but the broth was overly gingery.
The dining area is big and there are lots of seating options. Payment is only available in debit and in cash.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Burnaby! I’ve been coming here regularly, and every single time, the experience is nothing short of amazing. The food is absolutely delicious — especially their spicy and sour rice noodle with beef, which is by far the best I’ve ever had. The flavors are rich, perfectly balanced, and incredibly comforting. It’s become my go-to dish, and I honestly crave it all the time.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff, especially the team working in the evenings, are truly outstanding. They are always so friendly, warm, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I walk in, I feel like a valued guest. They always greet me with a smile and even call me by name — which makes the whole experience feel so personal and special.
You can really tell that the staff care about their customers and take pride in creating a positive, inviting atmosphere. Their attentiveness, kindness, and consistent professionalism make every visit feel like I’m being welcomed by old friends. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and it’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing food, amazing people — a true gem in Burnaby!
