Great place to eat out and socialize with your friends. The food is tasty and I absolutely love the aviation-themed atmosphere. They have such an incredible collection of old aircraft artwork.

Our first visit. It was busy when we arrived for dinner, but we found a seat and we were given a friendly greeting. I had the schnitzel with veg and mashed potatoes. Delicious. SL had a burger which she said had a lovely char and flavour and the onion rings wete perfect. Although we were full we had to try the peanut butter pieIt was good, but a bit dense. We look forward to many more visits.

Had Christmas Party there, food and service was excellent as always. Fun music trivia games. Interior/exterior is a little dated, but has character.

Don’t like to complain but enough is enough. Went for a couple beer after game of golf. Decided to order food as well. Server was great…no problem there. Nice young kid with great sense of humour. Opted for the beef dip. Server asked if I wanted dressed up version. Would have cheese, onions and peppers I believe is what was offered. I said sure…sounds good. When it arrived…I thought there had been a mistake. I could see no visible extras on it. Meat was gray and absolutely tasteless. Fries…well…barely warm and not overly generous portion. I questioned the young fellow on the beef dip. He said the onions were below the meat. I didn’t argue…just ate it. Incredibly disappointing. Funny thing is…had the same beef dip 2 weeks earlier and was superb. I have come to the conclusion…it all depends on who is working in these kitchens as to what you will get. Don’t waste your money in these places on incredibly inconsistent food. Drink there but eat at home. With rising tip expectations…rising prices and not much on the plate…it’s just one big rip off. Nice renovation in the pub too..looks great. Maybe put some consistency in the food though.

Last night we had our staff Christmas party at the Griffin Pub. Cheryl and the gals took very good care us. The service was quick and friendly. The kitchen was quick with preparing our appetizers and our meals. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We would definitely consider them for our next staff party.

A little out of the way, but a good thing in my mind if you don't want a lot of noise and distractions. The ambiance is great, you know you're close to the air base and the patio is very inviting in the summer. There is a good selection of beers available and the food is good, although we usually go there just to socialize.
