I didn't get pictures of all my food since everything looked and tasted delicious so I just dug in. This place is authentic and reminds me a bit of Japan with a twist of western culture.

I'm saying this as I saw the chef talking with customers at the sushi bar. Also the servers seemed to be familiar with a lot of customers.

Would recommend coming here. The last time I can here was 10 years ago and it's the same staff.

They have a diverse menu allowing you to be adventurous. Would recommend the grilled intestines and Anago tempura which were both delicious. The oyster motoyaki was good too. The sushi rice and sushi rolls here were just average. Tako wasabi and nigiri was standard. The table setting and plates were very nice.

This place is a real treasure. I went there 3 times and I would say this is my family go to spot now. Good service is rare these days and these guys uphold it as it is their own home. I love that that the server speaks to me mainly in Japanese for an authentic experience. I will be supporting this restaurant for a very long time. :)

Great food and company at the end of a long night

The establishment needs to manage takeout orders more efficiently. While the food is good, showcasing traditional Japanese preparation, it’s clear that there aren’t enough servers on the floor when it's busy. This issue must be addressed to improve overall service.

this place has such fresh sashimi! i got their nigiri assortment and the salmon was super fresh and fragrant, and it was the perfect thickness ans fattiness so it melted in my mouth, and the lightly seasoned rice really paired well with it! their tuna maki wasnt fishy at all but their tuna nigiri was fishy... their ebi nigiri was also tough and their ika was avrg. although their tamago nigiri's colour was off, it was pretty good- it wasnt sweet and it had dashi in it! 4.5/5

however their grilled squid was so bland i thought i was chewing on rubber with a hint of ginger 1/5

overall 3.7/5

Amazing food and service. Lots of selections on the menu particularly with grilled options which aren't always available compared to other restaurants. Highly recommended.

One of the few traditional Japanese restaurants worth going in the Coquitlam area. I’m Japanese and a former chef so I vouch for their food quality, good service and reasonable prices!

Good sushi place, a bit cramped but the food and service were decent. I would go again but it’s not a replacement for some of my other go to spots.

Please send enough people for this to be an ongoing success... but not so many that we can't get a seat.

Such fresh, delicious food. Such lovely, welcoming staff.

The aburi flounder nigiri with perilla leaf is so good. Everything is fresh, tender and delicious.
