Been coming here for a while and food was excellent but the last visit was underwhelming

Price has increased and the service is excellent.

Pho seems to have more MSG and we found a hair. Food was decent but overall not as good as it used to be

HAIR ALERT! my wife lost her appetite

Ive been coming here since 2007 or so when I used to live around the corner. It was my introduction to pho. I live in another country now, and whenever I'm in town, I have to make sure I visit. Its still just as good as it was the first time.

There was no depth or flavour to the broth. The wontons we had that day must've been a bad batch, as it feels they definitely missed the salt. Came here based on reviews, and was definitely disappointed. Service was okay.

I ordered the Sate Pho after asking the staff how they make it, and I was impressed. Not only is the Sate Pho actually on the menu, they make it properly. The broth is rich, coconut milk adds warmth while chili adds a kick, peanut butter, lemongrass, and warming spices, all done exceptionally well. In my experience, Sate isn’t commonly available at most Vietnamese restaurants in my area. I’m from Mission, and whenever I’m in this area, I’m coming back for Sate. Wish I had taken a photo as proof. Highly recommend 👌

Pho 99

Honestly didn’t know it was a chain restaurant till I did my research afterwards! You wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between them and a mom & pop shop.

I got quick service, maybe just missing out on that warm hospitality you get from a mom and pop shop but for the price you really can’t complain. You’re started off with some nice hot tea and your sides for Pho.

The food was delicious we could smell the broth from way outside the parking lot and it really brought us to the front door.

We ordered the Hot & Sour Pho with seafood and the rice noodle with eye round steak and flank steak. The small size wasn’t small at all which shows great value!

Hot & sour pho strong 9.1/10 the broth was full of umami and flavour I could have a cup of it every morning and be very happy. Got 3 prawns 2 pieces of squid and 2 fish cakes. I think that’s pretty decent for the price and the seafood was very tender and not over cooked. The peanuty sambal sauce on the side was an excellent pairing if you like spice!

The Rice noodle dish with steak 8.6/10 once again a decent portion of meat for the price and very huge sizing of broth and noodles. The broth was very beef forward flavouring with the spices and aromatics playing in the background. Honestly I prefer the pho broth this way and it makes it a much more enjoyable soup.

I will be returning anytime Im sick or it’s too chilly and you feel like a comfort meal!

Pho 99 is my boyfriend’s all-time favourite pho spot, mainly because of their rich, deeply flavourful chili oil (even though he claims all pho tastes the same… which I strongly disagree with). The broth here is comforting, well-balanced, and reminds me a lot of Pho 68 near my house—our family’s longtime go-to, which is high praise. Generous portions, satisfying depth of flavour, and that chili oil really takes it to the next level. Top-tier pho overall and definitely one you won’t be disappointed by.

Been coming here for 3 years for house special pho and grilled lemongrass chicken and shrimp platter. Food is consistently incredible and fair portions. I'd say its completely worth what you pay for and the staff are friendly and helpful. Never disappointed and always satisfied!

Been here many times. like most Pho places the atmosphere is plain and nothing fancy. I personally like this as if too nice I feel the food tends to be less good. This trip my beef ball with noodle was more salty than normal. I could have sent back but I was really hungry and the hot sauce balanced it out for me.

The beef balls are good and you get a generous amount of noodles. I had the large and some spring rolls. This filled me till breakfast the next day and I ate here around 3pm for a late lunch.

I have always found the staff to be nice and very attentive when my tea was empty a new pot was on the table very quickly.

Overall the food is generally good just every now and then it will be a bit too salty too me. I know taste is subjective and this does not happen often enough to prevent me from going.

My worst ever in my life that I chose to come this restaurant. They gave us wrong food several times and there was a soap in my dish and my meat in my dish was shining like it was washed by soap. And the worker was offensive and made me feeling uncomfortable.

They should go over their safe food handling in this store. I ordered for pick up and when I went to pick up my order, the cashier asked me what kind of meat I ordered. She then realized I ordered different kind of meat and she took my order back to the kitchen (where I can see her from where I am) and started to grab the meat from my order using her dirty gloved hand and replaced the meat. She didn't realize how dirty her gloves were and needless to say she had been wiping tables, handling cash with the same pair of gloves. I was startled with what I saw and could have pointed that was not good and serving customer with contaminated food. They should know they are wearing gloves to protect the customers and not themselves.

Came here for a quick bite. Order a few dishes as I have never eaten at any of this restaurants locations. DO NOT order their beef stew. The pcs are abnormally large and chewie. It just tastes like their pho broth with a few pcs of beef thrown in. Talked to their manager told them how awful and hard to eat it was and her explanation was that people in this area like it chewie and if it was tender they would get mad at them! Please explain that to me. I wasn’t looking for a comp but an offer would have at least made the experience more pleasant! I will NOT be back. Food is mediocre at best.
