Went here last night, and for a person visiting from outside of BC I must say that this place needs some help. The girls that work here try their best. However, they need more training. I sat at a booth that had sand or dirt all over the seat, there was sauce on the table from a previous diner, which means the tables were not wiped before they sat us and it got all over my sweater. I had to ask the young lady to wipe the table for us. The food was subpar and looked like it was made from left overs. The menus were sticky and dirty and as a rule of thumb, never eat at a place that gives out dirty menus or has sticky floors! There was a DJ and the music was too loud. A bunch of gen-z’s were hanging around being so loud and oblivious to anyone else dining here. I’ve never witnessed this type of dining in Ontario. I would never visit here again if I went back to BC.

I’ve been coming to this taphouse for years with family and friends, and I’ve even hosted my company Christmas parties here, spending over $2,000 each time. Unfortunately, my last visit will be my final one.
When I arrived, there was no one at the front door, so I walked in to ask for a table. A staff member approached me rudely and told me to “go back to the door.” Then she asked for ID at 6pm. I questioned it since in all my visits ID was only ever asked for after 9pm (when it turns into nightclub hours). She insisted “we always do,” which I know is not true — but I still provided my valid government-issued photo ID.
After that, she demanded a second piece of ID, which I don’t carry because one is always enough everywhere else, including at this same place in the past. At that point I decided to leave, and I won’t be coming back.
It’s frustrating and disappointing to be treated this way as a loyal customer who has supported this business for years.

We had the Thai lime bowl, braised beef sandwich, fish and chips and ordered the warm chocolate brownie to share, then ordered another one to take home because it was amazing! The food was really good and will be back again, also, I was extremely impressed how clean the establishment is, always a bonus. The service was attentive and Sashas smile could launch a hundred ships to War. Thank you Taphouse!!

Me and my wife come in from time to time whenever we have some free time. We came again tonight and weren't disappointed! Our server was very accommodating when we were curious about the happy hour. We started with the lemon pepper wings and got it with their jalapeno ranch which I never knew they had! I'm a sucker for IPA's and they had a good selection. My wife got the Taphouse soda which is her go to and again was great. We also shared the Truffle fries and pierogi bites. The trivia that was going on looked like a fun time so we will be back hopefully earlier next time to play.

One of the worst bar/nightclub I have ever been at and the bouncers was so rude with us, even after the saw we are visiting from Seattle. I can tell very low experience bouncers. The place was already empty and we had to leave cause we didn’t feel comfortable to keep going.

Yeah, they definitely had what it takes to turn a boring Sunday night into a good one — especially our sweet young server (I think her name was Ms. Akshavier? Sorry if I got it wrong — maybe the fat tag effect 😉). Unlike some places, they actually had a few good beers on the happy hour menu — and at decent prices too 🍻.
Honestly, you don’t usually expect much from the kitchen at a Taphouse, but the pizza was phenomenal 🍕🔥. If you skip the truffle fries there, you’re not missing much 🤷♂️.
And the bathrooms? Probably the cleanest spot on planet Earth 🧼🚽✨!!!
