“Grabbed a table with a couple friends on a slow weekday morning and the lavender oat latte was honestly one of the best I've had in the Comox Valley. The barista remembered one of our orders from a previous visit and even suggested a pairing with their almond croissant, which was flaky and not too sweet. Big windows looking out toward downtown Courtenay gave the whole place a really relaxed, easy going vibe, perfect for lingering over coffee for a couple hours. Parking right out front made it an easy stop before we wandered around the shops nearby.“

“We went for a birthday dinner, as we have been at Martines many times. The restaurant was full as usual on a weekend. Was so noisy that you couldn't have a conversation, the food was very good, but the service was terrible. We ordered wine with our dinner, and it didn't come till we were almost finished our meal. Very disappointed with the evening.“
