VERY GOOD FOOD BUFFET ONE THE BEST
I was a big fan of the Driftwood between Courtenay and Campbell River, however, I was disappointed with the Courtenay Restaurant. I attended on 18th September at 5.00 pm. Some of the buffet dishes, were cool, the ginger fried beef was tough and totally without enjoyment, and the rest of the dishes, were mediocre at best, and most below that level. I felt the $31.+ charge was certainly not worth the money. I cannot see this restaurant surviving unless they find a cook who can improve...read full review

Driftwood Restaurant Courtenay offers a solid buffet experience with a wide variety of high-quality food options, including an excellent selection of sweets. The friendly and smiling staff, including temporary workers from other countries, provide a wonderful experience. The buffet is very diverse, offering a great selection of dishes, and the food is incredibly good—you get what you pay for. The owner himself takes time to have conversations with every table. Even when busy, the service remains really good, and the atmosphere stays relaxed. The place is clean and nicely decorated, making it a great choice for a delightful dinner. Many guests, including those who travel from Victoria, highly recommend it and plan to return.
