Yummies & Gyros Greek Restaurant

Food was amazing owner is very accommodating the service was impeccable food came lightning fast. So many pictures and information on how this store came to be. I loved the esthetic of the entire shop.

Arrived at opening time same time as staff, gave our order and paid they had no cash in till so could not give us our change then owner and server entered into a twenty minute conversation while we waited (we were the only customers) after the discussion we got the change, we waited a further fifteen minutes to get food, asked for glass of water received a dark brown coffee mug with water in, at first bite there was five slices of tomato all struck together almost frozen then a piece of barely warm chicken, it had to be the worst gyro I have ever had, I ate a few more bites and my friend who had the beef and lamb gyro had the same problem barely warm meat everything else ice cold. So we left the rest of our meal and still no other customers we left . It seems to me if your business says open 11 am until…… you should be ready for customers at that time, fully prepped ready to go, not showing up at 11:00. The restaurant was a mess, there were items just stacked all around me and odd pieces of clutter that seemingly had no reason to be there. I would like to say I hadn’t been there in a few years and the food used to be awesome, so I was very surprised and disappointed. Same with my friend.

Yummies & Gyros is treating us good with the vegan options. I got the falafel gyro with all the veggies and hummus instead of the tzatziki, 1/2 a vegan spanakopita and one of the vegan sweets they have at the front. There were these chocolate hazelnut bars and some vegan friendly baked goods from Boulder Hill Baking. They also have a vegan baklava. Friendly owner, quick service and fresh and delicious food. Awesome.

Felt very welcoming inside, servuce was very good an i loved looking at all the pictures. Got a beef and lamb gyro, absolutely fantastic, hit the spot. My new go to spot when in Courtney comox!

First time hitting up this hidden gem. The woman serving us was really friendly, the gyros were awesome. Well loaded and the flavours were awesome!! We can’t wait to go back!

Meat isn't cut off the spit, but rewarmed and a little thick. Sauces and veggies are spot on. Atmosphere is a bit fractured, extension cable obstructing a table. Doors open to the storeroom. However, I'm never disappointed.

Absolutely hands down the best gyro I've ever had. Stop reading reviews and just come here.. The food is SOOO fresh, they treat you like old family friends and the building has so much character. I got the combo and that kept me full for hours. I will definitely be bringing everyone who visits me to this insanely wonderful restaurant.

We love the food and eat there every time we are in town.
