I eat here multiple times a week. Food is authentic and fresh. Prices are good. It’s a little hit and miss with hours of operation and sometimes she’s too busy to pick up the phone but it’s worth the effort.

Don’t let the bad reviews fool you. This is the most authentic Thai food I have had in Canada. I have heard her hours are hit and miss. Her English is ok. If you are a traveller, you understand that patience, understanding and kindness goes a long way. Don’t expect 5 star service or ambience, just 10 out of 10 Thai food.

I wanted to order food by phone as I was on my way to ferry. I called the place and first time lady said in a very abrupt manner that she has a customer, I wondered if she wants me to call back, she said yes. After few unsuccessful attempts later I finally got her attention. I tried ordering curry with chicken, but the lady yelled that she only understands chicken and if I can just say menu number. I did but guess what - she just put down the phone so I can listen to surroundings. She clearly struggled with speaking english and was annoyed by that. I hang up but all my future call attempts went to voice mail.I understand it can be a challenge for foreigners to speak english. But being kind and customer oriented is still an option

We ate here after the Christmas extravaganza at the Maritime centre Dec.16, 2023. Ordered take out (dining not available) and it was awful. The ribs, gyoza and pork for my noodle soup was barely edible. It was all burnt to a crisp. The noodle soup and Tom Tom soup had good flavour but mushy veggies. The egg rolls were just OK. Highly disappointed, will never go back because it was so bad.

We got takeout from here a few weeks ago while spending a night in the area. We really really enjoyed our meal… a simple Thai curry and a pad Thai for my boyfriend. The Thai curry was the best I’ve ever had, and everything was so hot and fresh. Prices were very reasonable too. Thank you!

By far the best thai food place in the cowichan Valley. The drunken noodles is my favorite, I think about it every time I'm in town! Despite the other thai place I go to having bigger portions I now only go to this place because it is so delicious! I'll be back, again and again!

Experience was great. The Captain of Tiger Bay has voiced his approval. First officer concurs.

We stayed at a hotel near by for a week and decided to try out this little place, we were not disappointed! The food was amazing! I came back to buy breakfast there too! I fully recommend! The prices were great for what you get and you truly don’t regret it! Kateryna

Curry was excessively watery and seemed to use mostly frozen veggies. The wife tries hard to cook for the patrons while the husband seems inconvenienced. If you can get past that, it’s still a good mom & pop resto to support locally.

I just went to Sathian Thai for the first time since I moved here and I will definitely be back. I have been hankering for a place that makes Khao Soi (Chiang Mai Curry) as good as what I had in Northern Thailand and this place nailed it! Will be a regular here for sure. Make sure and check them out if you haven't already been!
