Because we are lucky enough to live in the beautiful Cowichan Valley we are at the Leeward Cafe on an almost weekly basis. The food is always scrumptious and the staff welcoming, friendly and courteous. We love the ambience of dining in the clean and cozy cafe but in fair weather we bring our own mugs, which the staff happily fill, and we sit on the quaint benches out back and enjoy the boats and birds. The Leeward Cafe and its sister business True Grain Bakery are delightful!

Very nice little coffee with delicious pastries from next door, and amazing views. The lady was super friendly today, even though we mixed up our order and took the wrong hot chocolate for our kids. She handled it like a friendly professional.

I asked if I could have a real cup and not a disposal cup, the server said that they were closing and would a disposal cup sufficeI said no, I will go somewhere who will support my requestAr this point I was told I could have a real coffee for my coffee after I mentioned global warming and unnecessary wasteI have returned to this place a few times since and was served very civilly by the same serverI really like the coffee shop and I trust it was a once off situation
