It's closed down no information on the windows. But very sorry if it didn't work out with new owners. It did attract a lot of people to Cowichan Bay all year long .. Hopefully my post get some attention to find out what is happening to the Red

Greasy food Small portions of everything Horrible parking Sporadic service Bad management High prices. Great views of the parking lot and dumpster The glory days are over. There are far better restaurants within walking distance.

I wish I could leave a review. We were there at 5:30 pm for dinner and it was closed .. no hours posted .. nothing. We were sad, we have eaten at this restaurant a couple times under the previous owner. Google needs to update their info.

Came to have halibut and Chips, but ran out of halibut. So thought, let's have a poutine since we're here. Poutine camevout with old cold fries, so cheese not melting and gravy cold too. Please use fresh hot fries, and not left over cold ones for the pouting, thinking the gravy will heat it up. Throw the old fries away. Server was very nice, and 1st time we had a bad experience here

Our experience was terrible. It took 2 hours to get food for 9 people. The Chicken Caesar wrap had no Caesar dressing, the corn tacos were soggy, the cod bites were way over cooked, the clam chowder had a fine flavour but it was served in the the tiniest cup. There was no ice cream choice for the kids meal only strawberry.Plus, when the bill came they informed us that an 18per cent gratuity was added on to the bill, however, they made us feel uncomfortable when paying with a card and bypassing tip the option. Nothing comfortable about this cafe.Parking: There is a lot of parking in a difficult location to park.

My dad took my son and I here tonight and I have to say it was really good. The cod wasn't over battered or cook, what a treat! My son loved his burger, our fries were amazing. But our server, I think her name was Jamie, she was probably one of the best servers I've ever had Period. I was in the industry for years and let me tell you, I really appreciate a great server and that's what she is. I know the place is for sale but I hope whoever buys it keep that stuff ? thank you, the math kid's mom

The staff was quite nice; the restaurant was clean and has lots of potential to be a really cool hang out spot in Cowichan Bay. Our food was great! The chowder was delightful; the signature battered fish rock cod was so good. The batter is so light and crispy - not oily at all. The grilled halibut sandwich was also dynamite! Will return again!Kid-friendliness: Small but perfect kids menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Most of the restaurant is on one level.

Great food (really delicious clam chowder), very good service and a lovely location!
Very disappointed. Arrived at 5.30 pm and the first thing we saw was a board listing what was not available starting with Clam Chowder. Our waitress was very helpful and obliging but the food was not good. We all ordered Halibut meals and mine gave me the definite impression that it had been recooked as the batter was like concrete with a lot of luke-warm stringy fries posing as chips. This place has every sign of soon being closed permanently. We quickly left as cleaning had already started at 6.15 pm. There are better fish restaurants near here.

The waitresses seemed very inexperienced. The food took forever to arrive at the table. Some people left before getting their food. I felt bad for the staff, I think that it must have been new owners and we just got them on an extremely 'off day'It was expensive but good portions.

service was awesome our waitress was very throughful when it came to our 3 year old she was super kind! the chicken burger was one of the best I've ever had, huge portions we ordered two meals and shared with our son and it was way more than enough for the three of us! loved it. the gin Caesar was soooo good too!

Visited with relatives on a lovely day. The area is beautiful. The menu is obviously fish-focused. We all had the Cod and chips which was fine. Wine list not so impressive, mine was too sweet, but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Service swift and friendly and delivered exactly what was needed. Yes, I'd go back for sure.
