Came to have halibut and Chips, but ran out of halibut. So thought, let's have a poutine since we're here. Poutine camevout with old cold fries, so cheese not melting and gravy cold too. Please use fresh hot fries, and not left over cold ones for the pouting, thinking the gravy will heat it up. Throw the old fries away. Server was very nice, and 1st time we had a bad experience here
My dad took my son and I here tonight and I have to say it was really good. The cod wasn't over battered or cook, what a treat! My son loved his burger, our fries were amazing. But our server, I think her name was Jamie, she was probably one of the best servers I've ever had Period. I was in the industry for years and let me tell you, I really appreciate a great server and that's what she is. I know the place is for sale but I hope whoever buys it keep that stuff...
The staff was quite nice; the restaurant was clean and has lots of potential to be a really cool hang out spot in Cowichan Bay. Our food was great! The chowder was delightful; the signature battered fish rock cod was so good. The batter is so light and crispy - not oily at all. The grilled halibut sandwich was also dynamite! Will return again!
