“Super place. Not only is it a great coffee shop, but the staff is very friendly. The food items are well rounded for choice. Can't stand when too many items are brown flour, gluten free, low sugar, no meats, etc.... this has some alternatives but I can get all the great tasting vices and they change up some of the menu throughout the week!Love the selection of books too.“
“It's always a pleasure enjoying a meal with you guys and the food is amazing every time we come here. cranbrook is so lucky to have places like this that offer such great service and a fresh take on something delicious and different to eat!“
“It was busy and service was a little slow. There was even a sign when you walked in the door warning that they were short handed. I had a regular medium roast coffee, and frankly, it was terrible. I even sent it back and the replacement was just as bad.For context, I roast my own beans at home and kind of specialize in medium roast. I would be embarrassed to serve such a weak and insipid cup to a guest. I think they simply don't put enough grounds in the basket. (A good starting place is 3 gm of ground coffee per 50 ml of water, and that is a minimum). Their fancy espresso coffees looked great, maybe I should have gone that route. On the other hand, the food was delicious. I had the meat patty and egg breakfast sandwich and it was served hot and so tasty. I even made my own version for guests when I got back home to Texas.“
“working just down the street, Max's place has been our go to for a coffee and treats and often lunch. the service is always top notch, and the atmosphere so warm and inviting. Today I had the pleasure to see Lisa at the Hospital location, and I just wanted to express my gratitude, and say an extra special thank you to her for demonstrating such kindness and compassion to me. You made my day, and helped put a little sunshine in my stay at the hospital. Thank you❤️“
