Ordered for take out. Walked in to give my order. The lady who helped me was friendly and said that they were going to be ready in 10 minutes. Woah, that was faster then I was expecting. So I said I would be back in 30 min. which was fine with them. Food was ready when I came back. Ordered the Cantonese Chow Neon, which was excellent, and Honey Garlic Pork which was nicely crispy and not overly sweet. The sauce of the pork was shiny clear rather than muddy color, so it was well made. Overall they tasted very good. Price wise, the food items are relatively more expensive compared to the Lower Mainland.

We just ordered the ginger beef to go, and while it was tasty, I swear it was made with sweet and sour sauce... Did not taste like any ginger beef ive ever had or made... no ginger taste at all. Wasn't bad, but definitely wasnt what I was expecting or craving!

The restaurant was very busy but we were acknowledged and seated right away. The servers were friendly and helpful, checking on us several times. Our food came very quickly, was fresh, plentiful and delicious. Our only negative comment is that with the high ceiling there is a lot of noise in the room. We were a party of six and every one of us has said we will go back again. Bravo to the new owners of Sun R.

We ordered dinner for 4 (4 adults one small child)..it fed us all with leftovers for next day. It was hot, so tasty and we all enjoyed it. We will definitely order again. Excellent Chinese food...and Creston is lucky to have you here

I called as soon as they opened, was told it was going to be a 3 hour wait. The guy who answers the phones has always been very short with me, as if I’m an inconvenience. The price of food though!!! $130 and the portions were so small it wasn’t even enough to fill up our plates as a family of 4. We used to love Sun R and it was our regular spot but with the price, portion size and customer service, I’d rather just wait for a Cranbrook trip to get Chinese food.

Called right as they opened to place a take out order and was told to wait over 2 hours before it could be picked up. Whoever picked up the phone was also very short with me. Can’t support local businesses with this poor level of customer service.

Too bad we never got to try the food. We called exactly at 4:30 (when they open) to place a pickup order and were immediately told that the soonest we could pick up would be 6pm. Why? They had been open for less than 30 seconds but can’t fill our takeout order for 1.5 hrs? No thanks. We will unfortunately have to support another local business instead. ??♀️
