We were a party of 10. We watched all surrounding tables get their dinner while we waited for more than two hours. We did not know why .The cook sent tequila shots for each of us . 5 of us are non drinkers, the waitress/servers knew that we were having non alcoholic beverages. 2 of us left without our dinner, 2 more followed shortly with their dinner in takeout boxes. Blacktail Restaurant & Bake+Brew Cafe is a local gem on Haida Gwaii. The food is delicious, top notch, and lovingly prepared. The pasta and ribeye steak are fantastic. The cafe serves great coffee. The restaurant successfully accommodates allergies. It is a must-visit, beautiful, and unique spot, which is why locals line up before opening. It is a little spendy but you won't regret it.
