Extremely pleasant and kind service, very good food, good proportions. Just an absolutely lovely place all around.

we had two veal steaks tonight and they were the most horrible, gristly, chewy steaks I have ever had in my life, the knives were so dull that we asked for two more knives (the two that we received were not much better) I was paying for our friends anniversary so I did not complain to the head chef like I wanted to or even send back the steaks. The sauce on the steak was good, but actually covered up the bad sinew and gristle over both sides of the steak, the tenderloin side and the other regular side. Do not order it! We spent over $300.00 tonight and were very disappointed !!!

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years and were so disappointed with our most recent visit. We tried to reserve online for my mother’s birthday, as we have always done, and received no response. As the day got closer my dad phoned to confirm if our reservation was confirmed or not, and we were able to get our table. We signalled we were celebrating a birthday both in our online reservation and again with our phone call, and we also told the waitress who sat us on the day. To our surprise, they never brought my mom the free birthday dessert, despite us watching our waitress bring at least 4 birthday desserts out to different tables. Don’t ask if we are celebrating anything on the reservation if you have no intention of providing anything special. Additionally, we were sat at a terrible table that is basically in the waiting area, meanwhile the whole restaurant was more or less empty. It’s blatantly obvious that the owner tries to save the best seats a for his “friends” who come regularly and without reservations probably. The owner could not care less about you as a costumer unless you are a “regular”, it’s blatantly obvious and very uncomfortable. We will not be returning ever again. Also, the food quality has gone done, maybe they should focus more on business and less on socializing with favoured costumers.

First time at this restaurant. It was a lovely restaurant- excellent service. The food was incredible- we shared the crispy prawns, bruscetta, and cranberry coated feta appetizers. One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The bruscetta was unique and impressive. The chocolate lava cake was beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend this upscale but not overpriced restaurant; I'll be back.

Fantastic restaurant! Food-awesome! Wine selection-awesome! Service-awesome! Specifically…Sarah was/is a lovely server. She was funny, witty, attentive and professional. The lamb and steak were properly cooked. The wine was perfectly paired and Roland…you are a gracious host, brilliant chef and a fantastic restaurateur! We will keep coming back!

Valentine’s Day at Illuminaté Restorante was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.

Our server, Steve, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely made us feel taken care of throughout the entire evening. When a private booth became available, he came over and asked if we’d like to move, and of course we jumped at the opportunity! That small gesture made the night feel even more special and intimate. His attention to detail and warm personality truly elevated the entire experience.

The food was just as incredible. We ordered seven items from the menu, and each dish came out perfectly timed. Somehow, every course seemed to be better than the last. You could tell a lot of care went into both the preparation and presentation.
We spent the entire evening talking about how amazing everything was, the service, the atmosphere, and the food. It was a Valentine’s Day we won’t forget, and we can’t wait to come back again.

Food was excellent but the service was average. I Would not go there on the weekend again as it was insanely noisy. Could hardly talk to my wife as the noise was so bad. We asked for a quiet area and they put us next to some very loud people who where in a party mode next to us. Just horrible.
