Not from here, yet I’m very impressed by their prices on beer. A 600ml beer is $6 - $8 which is nice on the pocket. The food here is good too. It isn’t renovated and not the most cozy place, but it’s the best place I’ve gone for a beer in a long time. Much better than the Rose and Crown and the Landing. The regulars seemed quite nice as well, along with the kind and honest staff. This place is a solid 8/10!!!
Good drinks, fish and chips could be ALOT better. The servers are nice and the service is good. It is definitely a decent place during the summer for a quick bite or a beer on the patio, I would stick to the beer or drinks only, pass on the fish and chips
Went on Sunday for the prime rib dinner. While the beef was tender, the Yorkshire Pudding lovely, the so called mashed potatoes were terrible! Not really mashed, large chunks of partially cooked potato, very little mash. The thickness of the meat served was in our opinion too thick. In all, was not the Sunday roast dinner we had been looking forward to.
The server did tell us the head chef was not on site, soooo could explain it, but won’t be running back for more...
