A.k.a. The Glow Effect.
Pleasant café, all vegan and gluten-free. Hot meals, almost-raw meals, soup, sweets & treats, ice cream, takeaway items. There’s even poutine! Chili, stew, stir-fry, “butter chicken” and much more. Special coffees, teas, lattes and, of course, juices! I had a mocktail, the butter chicken on brown rice, a Nanaimo bar and pumpkin spice latte with house-made brazil/walnut mylk. Everything tasted good.

I adore this place. I stop in here every time that I pass through Cowichan. My only wish is that they were open more often. Their juices are so good. The fact that they’re organic and reasonably priced is such a blessing. I hope they think about opening more locations around the island, specifically Nanaimo!
Love Glow! I usually drop in to pick up lunch (so many great options) or a treat once a week, my favorite is the Nanaimo Bar. I have also done the 3 day juice cleanse a couple of times… so good!
