The food is amazing, with friendly staff. The atmosphere is welcoming and makes for a wonderful experience! The food is expensive but what sushi isn't. For the experience it is well worth the price!
Ordered Beef bento box.
I was disappointed by followings
1. Miso soup was too salty. I had to ask a glass of hot water but still salty after adding double of hot water.
2. beef, tempura and rice were not freshly cooked. They are even not warm.
3. Shishi rice was not cooked properly. Most of grains were hard and chewy.
I was here a few times in the past. It was not like this. But I won’t come back here if these are their standards...

Sushi wood is our favorite restaurant in Fernie! We always get the bento boxes for takeout and they are really great, then last night we ate in and had the yakisoba and ramen and it was amazing. Authentic flavours, good size portions and just delicious. Definitely give sushi wood a try if you are in Fernie!
