Surf Lodge and Pub Reviews
Absolutely horrific sanitation in the kitchen, management cares very little for employees refusing to pay severance after firing someone, doesn’t understand the process of ‘The Right To Refuse Unsafe Working Conditions’ No HR department water is undrinkable serious rat infestation general disregard for employees health safety and well-being. Also Rooms are ENORMOUSLY overpriced
5 of us ordered the one piece fish & chips.
It took so long, we made a joke about them catching the fish in the ocean.
When it arrived at the table the fish was the size of 2 loonies each. Only one of us received a nice size piece.
Now let’s talk about the cold burnt fries. Some plates had lots & some not many. My brothers plate looked like a kids meal.
My brother in law mentioned to the waiter how disappointed he was and the waiter was very unconcerned. Did not...read full review

Surf Lodge and Pub offers a unique dining experience with its stunning location and natural, bright interior featuring wooden tones. The restaurant's location allows for breathtaking views of the sea, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or sunset views. Visitors can enjoy spectacular sunsets, with some reviews mentioning views of whales and music on the lawn. The service is generally good, though it can be slow during busy hours, but staff members often handle large groups well and provide friendly service. One server was praised for their incredible ability to juggle the entire restaurant on their own, keeping track of orders and needs without writing anything down. The menu offers a range of dishes, including a crispy fry and a satisfying wrap, and the food is often described as amazing and worth the wait. Guests have enjoyed seafood chowders with five kinds of fresh seafood in a light broth, as well as fish n chips that are considered really good. Mussels and seafood linguine are highly recommended, with some guests noting the roast beef special looked excellent. The atmosphere was described as lacking a bit of charm and feeling somewhat cheap, but the water view and good service made up for it. Many guests find the food delicious, and sitting outside on the “yard” to watch the sunset is a highlight. Overall, Surf Lodge and Pub remains a great choice for couples, especially during sunset hours, offering memorable views and tasty food in a beautiful setting.
