We were traveling from British Columbia and stopped for a meal. We do not consume red meat, and whenever we order a vegetarian option, we always ask if the grill can be cleaned, as it is shared for multiple items. We have made this request at many locations in the past and have never encountered an issue.
On this occasion, we requested that the grill be cleaned to avoid cross-contamination for a veggie burger. The employee informed us he would check with the kitchen. He later returned and advised that our request was declined and that they were unable to clean the grill. When I expressed concern about cross-contamination of a vegetarian meal, he stated that they use only one grill for all meats and that contamination does occur.
I then asked to speak with a manager on site, but was told that no manager was available.
This was by far the worst experience I have had at an A&W location. I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by how this situation was handled, particularly given the lack of accommodation for dietary restrictions and the absence of management support.

The food is never hot. And their hot holding is barely warm. What happened to the days of french fries or onion rings coming hot out of the deep fryer for your order? Super disappointed every time I go that the food is so expensive and cold.

They even sell Tazo tea now, getting pretty high end for Quick service restaurant lol

Of course, the best root beer floats ever, kids love it!

Jesse was simply one of a kind. To be honest, as the young “hip” kids say these days, he was a “GOAT”! The food was good (as most a&ws [will NEVER be going back to McDonalds]). But The service was better. To start, Jesse showed me and my family the UPMOST kindness and respect ever to our family. While most restaurants will disregard and continue their life after an ounce of milkshake was missing, Jesse made sure we were completely satisfied with our purchase, and he did everything he could to compliment us with the lowest price possible, going out of his way to bring a smile to our faces. This changed how I viewed society. I thought it was hopeless. Ruined. But Jesse restored my faith in humanity with his perfect daily implication and practice of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gratefulness, gentleness, and self control. He was confident in his craft, and mastered his God given ability to gratify others as best he can. Safe to say, Jesse is the PERFECT example of an employee. Empathetic, understanding, and swift. I am extremely appreciative of the gratification that Jesse brings to this franchise. He literally helped me see the world differently. Thank you, Jesse. This gentleman here will make it far up the company chain. 👌

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by a hardworking young gentleman named Jesse, and I’ve got to say — he’s one of the kindest people I’ve ever met! He goes above and beyond to make sure every customer leaves with both a happy heart and a happy tummy. When he noticed my milkshake was only half full, he didn’t hesitate to make it right — he even gave me a free small milkshake to top it off! You don’t meet people like Jesse every day. His kindness, attention to detail, and genuine care for customers make all the difference. The world needs more people like him! 👏🍦💛

I ordered masala veggie burger on my way to Invermere and what I got is solid rock veggie patty in my burger. Couldn't even take a bite. I had less time and was already on the highway so couldn't go back. Cant expect this from the place where tourists visits. I could have waited for the fresh one if they would have asked. 😒
