“We decided to explore a little further afield from our Banff base and we’ve always fancied a drive to Golden. Googled somewhere to eat for breakfast/brunch and Papa Bears came up as a well rated eatery.This place did not disappoint. The veggie omelette came with crispy bacon and fried potatoes &toast. I sometimes find that this combo can be greasy but it was light and filling. Hubby had the bison patty with homemade tomato soup. He exclaimed how wonderful the soup was and the bison was gamey but very tasty. The coffee was really good too.If ever we’re around this way we will definitely be back!“

“The Golden Bakery has been a big part of our community for years. I recently moved back and started getting our lunch meat and bread and buns and other goodies from there. The food is also delicious. If you haven’t been to check them out they are downtown across from 7-11. They have everything from Sandwiches, subs, soup, chilli, sausage rolls, veggie rolls and the doughnuts are so tasty! You can even call your order in and have a fast pickup! The staff are also amazing and super friendly! Thank you for being so accommodating and delicious Golden Bakery!“

“Petra and the staff were extremely gracious hosts for our wedding party dinner. Petra was so helpful in setting up the reservation and we had the whole second floor for our group. The table was set with beautiful tablecloths and napkin decorations. The server went above and beyond with our big group and made sure everyone had everything they needed. The special for tje evening was prime rib and everyone loved it! We even got to make music Playlist requests throughout the evening. Thank you very much for such an amazing dinner!“
