Dairy Queen in Kamloops

“This may be the cleanest fast food joints I've ever been in, it was noticed immediately on entering. Food was hot & fast, staff were friendly.
People go out of their way to point out fast food "imperfections", this location has earned credit across the board.“

“This is a great DQ! The staff where super friendly even though I messed up my order.
The food was super tasty, nice and warm! I forgot it was fast food!
However there was almost like a strobe light? It was flashing and made me dizzy.

Overall it’s a super friendly, tasty and warm place to get some food! (The blizzards are good too)

Dietary restrictions: They have some non dairy options! Like the Non dairy dilly bar!

Parking: Wrapped around the building.“

“For the beginning of the Summer of 2026; I believe the owner needs to think about hiring additional employees for the upcoming busy season.
As a person that used to work in the industry; I really felt for the employees. With a 10 car line they managed fairly well; wowzers they needed support though, like they needed at least four additional hands. I'm not saying how to do your job but dont run your employees ragged; do better 'upper' management.

“I’m giving this Dairy Queen location a 4-star rating because, while the food hits the spot, the overall customer experience definitely needs some improvement.

On the plus side, the food was really good! Everything tasted exactly like you’d expect from DQ, and it was fresh and well-prepared. If I were rating based on the food alone, it would be much higher.

Unfortunately, the drive-thru situation was a major letdown. When we pulled up, there were only four cars in front of us, but the line moved at an absolute snail's pace. We had to wait at least 10 minutes just to reach the speaker to put our order in. For a fast-food restaurant with a relatively short line, that’s way too long of a wait.
To make matters worse, the exterior of the building was not well-maintained.

The surroundings were quite dirty, and strangely enough, there was cabbage scattered around in the drive-thru area. It looked messy, unkempt, and takes away from the appeal of grabbing a quick bite.

Overall, the food is still good, but they seriously need to work on speeding up their drive-thru times and keeping the exterior clean.“
