“My experience at the Amsterdam Restaurant was terrific. This restaurant is not hard to miss since it is located right next to the Trans-Canada highway in Kamloops. My first time there, I had the Advocaat Belgian Waffle with coffee. The waffle was amazing; topped with vanilla ice cream, egg liquor, pecans, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar while the waffle itself was warm, crunchy outside and soft inside. The coffee was great as well. I highly recommend Amsterdam to anyone who happens to come by the restaurant.“

“We were really craving a good soup and not sure what we wanted. I had Jacob's as a saved place to try and so we gave it a go a couple days ago. We had the Seafood Nabe Udon and the Beef Udon. I'm not usually a Udon fan due to some not so good food from a couple places out of town, but this was DELICIOUS!! We will definitely be back for more, and to try a few more new things! 😊 I highly recommend checking them out and trying them for yourself.“

“I was visiting Kamloops for the day, and Iron Road was a great place to stop in for a lunch option.
It has an adequate amount of seating inside, and I didn't notice a patio. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight to start. Their beer selection is fantastic. Nothing too happy, nor nothing too high in alcohol content, which makes me think that they know how to brew good beer.
And I was right. The Beer Run Pale Ale was my preferred choice, but there were great options of all the beers I had.
The food menu mainly consisted of hand-held and lighter meals, which I think pairs well with beer as I don't like too heavy food options when drinking. The quesdillas I chose were great. Lots of flavour and paired with their in-house hot sauce (which was too hot) I was very satisfied after eating.
The service was great. I spoke with a very friendly server who was quick to look after me, and it was rather busy for a Thursday lunch, and I didn't feel I had to wait that long.
If you are visiting during the week between 9-5, parking is limited outside the brewery as it's located in a strip mall and not on its own. There appears to be free parking on the street during these hours, which is nice.
Next time I get back to Kamloops, I will visit again.“

“We just had an amazing lunch in this restaurant. Friendly staff and good food. I had the red curry with chicken and vegetables my husband Padthai. The host was super friendly and gave us advice about Kamloops gave us a map and showed us the murials. “Food was great. Had a salad with chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Came in and dined alone, was expecting a more friendly and attentive server. One of the girls at the front realized I wasn’t being cared for, and Abbie (Abby? Abi?) gladly grabbed me cutlery, refilled my water as well as checked on how my food tasted, etc. without me having to ask. She did a lovely job of going above and beyond and kindly refused when I offered her a small tip saying it “wasn’t necessary”. I will definitely be coming again.“

“The owners of this establishment are some of the most incredibly kind individuals and I just need to tell you all how amazing their restaurant is.
The food is amazing and comes in abundance! Their serving size can easily feed a party of 4, with left overs. The food is never super greasy and has lots of flavour, and I honestly love their food even more when I’m sick I swear it helps me get better especially the hot and sour soup yummmmy.
Their seating is nice and cozy and quiet, and they take excellent care of you. And for food that is this good it’s worth the little bit of a wait, it’s always fresh, and often comes out screaming hot!
Oriental express is in my opinion the #1 BEST Chinese food restaurant in Kamloops BC so stop by 1166 - 8th street in North Kamloops and see for yourself just how great this place truly is.“

“We finally found a Vietnamese restaurant the makes a proper spring roll!! My only regret is that we didn't order more. The vermicelli dishes are excellent and the service was excellent. Can't wait to try more on the menu. Our new go to place when we travel to Kamloops. 👍👍👍“
