Stopped in with my tow truck on trip from Chetwynd BC to Wynndel and then Elko. Met a couple who renewed my faith in humanity! The lady looked up when the last ferry from Balfor was and her bf bumped me ahead of him in line and gave me his order of poutin. The people of Kaslo are amazingly nice as I know of one other from there going to be a Dr.. And the poutin was amazing! It was so good that I'm sad I didn't have time to have a burger and shake. A one of a kind place for all kinds of poutine. Montreal smoked meat, pulled pork and bacon with green onion (our favorite) are just some of the unbelievable poutines on the menu. It was worth the drive from California.

Made the trip out to Kaslo on our Kootenay road trip specifically to go eat this poutine as suggested by a friend of ours who used to live in the area. Definitely lived up to the hype - best poutine we’ve ever eaten. Fish and chips were fantastic too, and they had a cotton candy sundae!? I wish I had more room as I would have gotten that. Friendly and fast service. Kaslo is a really cute, quaint town and would be worth the trip up!
