We made a reservation for the buffet for International Women's Day. The next day the restaurant called to let us know that they were canceling their buffet but we could still keep our reservation if we wanted and if we did that they would give us a free Mexican coffee, alcoholic drink or non-alcoholic drink. We kept our reservation and the food was really delicious! However, the offer of a complimentary drink that was given over the phone wasn't given in the restaurant, we were only offered a free Mexican coffee and we aren't coffee drinkers.
Although the food was wonderful, it felt sneaky that they advertise a buffet to get you to make a reservation, cancel the buffet and offer a complimentary beverage for you to keep your reservation, but then don't honour what they offered once you're actually inside the restaurant. With other Mexican restaurants in the city, I would probably visit those ones rather than coming back here where the tactics to get people in feel icky and misleading.

Really good Mexican joint with an inviting atmosphere. Grab a seat close to front if you enjoy people watching while you eat. The tacos are absolutely fantastic and they provide a nice salsa bar that’s self serve. Hoped they had a few more options for beer on tap but nothing to really complain about. Friendly staff with prompt service. Would recommend.

Best Mexican ive had in Canada. Love the modern twist, which brings in unique flavours. You can taste the quality ingredients. Everything was delish down to the small details, even the rice, guacamole, and kids meal chicken was outstanding. I find that It’s usually those small details that really show you how good a place is.

Went in for the Hot Choc Festival. Mexican hot choco (a specific mix) with delicious whip cream! A yummy hot choc! A lot of my Mexican pals use Abuelita's choc powder for their hot cocoas and it's delicious. I wonder if it's the same mix used here.
Paired with a (mildly) spicy brownie, cushiony texture with little crunchy things in it which i presume are the source of miiild spice? Tasted a bit like a protein bar though in terms of flavour.
The size (portion) of hot choco and brownie was a good, not overly-indulgent size😊

I've been to Chilangos many times and have always enjoyed it, which is why this visit was such a disappointment. We had a 7:30 pm reservation booked through OpenTable and were seated just before 7:30. Almost immediately, we were asked to place our drink orders before even having a chance to look at the menu. We asked for a bit more time, which felt reasonable, and when the server returned we ordered drinks. Once the drinks arrived, we were then asked to place our food order right away. While ordering food with drinks is standard, the overall experience felt rushed from the moment we sat down. Our food arrived very quickly, but unfortunately the quality wasn't what I've come to expect from Chilangos. The biggest issue was that my corn tortilla was cold and didn't taste warmed at all, which really took away from the dish. What really caught us off guard, though, was being told at 7:47 pm—less than 20 minutes after being seated—that the kitchen and bar were closing and we needed to place any remaining orders immediately. This was shocking, especially given that we had a 7:30 reservation. We went out for a date night and the entire experience, from arrival to leaving, lasted about 18 minutes. I've loved Chilangos in the past, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Between feeling rushed, the drop in food quality, and being told the kitchen was closing so soon after our reservation time, it just didn't hit the same this time around. I hope this was an off night, but it definitely wasn't the experience I expected or planned for.

I went to Chilango in Kelowna a couple of weeks ago, and we had an amazing experience. The place is awesome — it truly makes you feel like you’re in a real Mexican restaurant, with an authentic Mexican atmosphere.
The food was delicious, with a lot of variety on the menu, and every dish we ordered was excellent. On top of that, the service was outstanding. Jerónimo, our waiter, was incredibly friendly and attentive. He took the time to explain the menu, recommended some of the house specialties, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable with his kindness and sense of humor.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend Chilango if you want to be immersed in authentic Mexican food and ambiance.

There wasn’t enough seasoning or sauce in either of them and for over $20 I just need a little more punch. My girlfriend had to order the queso sauce that went over my beef burrito so that her verde Cruz had something going on. It may be just the burritos that leave something to be desired because the tomato soup was excellent.

What a great evening with this restaurant. If you're a foodie looking for a unique mexican cuisine in Kelowna, this is the place! The restaurant space is cozy and welcoming with beautiful bright colours. Their NYE buffet was delicious and we would join again next year if there's more basic dish options for kids; like quesadillas, picco salsa and option to order guacamole for extra fee. The salads, ribs and tacos were awesome but a tiny too much spice for the little ones. I just think more non spicy kid friendly dishes were needed. But other than that it was perfect and the desserts were great too.
