The food was alright, it’s a decent amount for what you pay but nothing we had was all that flavourful or memorable and had no spice. The decor is straight out of the 80s, which is fine but doesn’t offer a great atmosphere. We were initially given the wrong order, it was for a table on the other side of the restaurant, the servers seemed really nervous even before that mistake was made. Also the bathroom smelled terrible.

Tired restaurant, tired staff. Dinner time, I was the only one there. Concerning. Server kept asking me if I wanted to order a drink even though I kept saying water is fine, thank you. Stir fry came out very quick. The food quality seemed ok, a bit smaller than expected. The bad part was that it was sitting in a pool of grease. Like, worse than low end Chinese food greasy. It was gross. Thai food should be hot and fresh, flavourful and balanced. This was not that.

Had two takeaway meals from here during a weekend stay in Kelowna. The Pad See-Eew was delicious, opted for beef as meat and Pad Prik King with tiger prawns. Perfect spicyness of the Pad Prik King! On our second takeaway we asked for recommendations and the fried rice and Pad Thai was recommended. I wish I went with Pad Prik King. The Frid Rice was mild and not much spices. The added beef was plain. The Pad-Thai was very flat, monotone flavour. Very few bean sprouts. It did not look very appetizing. The added prawns had good flavour.

Ordered takeout, food was tasty. But hardly any vegetables in the dishes. A few carrot, a quarter of a Mushroom too many onions., i agree that vegetables are expensive right now. But not that expensive to not put them in vegetable dishes.
A wonderful experience, with flavour you won't forget and service that makes you feel like you're at home. Highly recommend.

UPDATED DEC 2025: I came here with my family and this time food was tasty and good. Service was a bit disappointing, they made several errors with our order but quality of food was good.
2022: I usually enjoy coming to Mon Thong. Good food and great price. But today I was surprised by a huge hair on my food! I was really frustrated because the food was actually good but finding a hair on your food is just a terrible experience. Not sure if I’ll come back any time soon.

They should upgrade the food quality, the interior, and the price also. We ordered 5 dishes, the tom yum is not good at all, the pad thai taste like spaghetti, the green curry not good, and the beef also so so a bit salty. The weird part is the mango sticky rice, coz they put ice cream on top of the sticky rice, never see this one in my life.... I eat lots of thai food at different country include at thai anyway .... But we are hungry, so...
